  1. Another season in the record books, our eighth overall. Bong-Man has joined jb126 as the only two-time winners. Congratulations again! 3. 3rd sports passing in 2020... RIP Sam Wyche. Long time Bengals coach and also coached the Bucs. Only 74 years old...very underrated, IMO.
  4. More from the world of sports... RIP to Yankees legend and the only man to throw a perfect game in the World Series, Don Larsen
  5. First 2020 RIP - former NBA Commissioner David Stern.
  6. Sounds like a fun event celebrating an excellent, iconic album.
  7. Ham and bean soup from the Christmas ham bone. Mrs. W’s corn muffins on the side. Happy New Year everyone!
  8. RIP to an American legend. Jack Sheldon educated so many kids watching cartoons on Saturday morning with unforgettable songs/lessons in Schoolhouse Rock.
  9. Now that the long, grueling regular season is over - it’s time to look to the playoffs. Less games to pick and an opportunity for those who don’t want to commit to 17 weeks of picks, to have fun with this quick little jaunt. Rules are simple, one point for each correct game picked and, if necessary, the tie breaker at the end will be total points in the Super Bowl - separate from picking the winning team. If you’re interested, here’s the slate of games for this weekend’s Wild Card Round matchups: Saturday: Buffalo @ Houston 4:35 pm Tennessee @ New England 8:15 pm Sunday: Minnesota @ New Orleans 1:05 pm Seattle @ Philadelphia 4:40 pm I don’t ever remember wild card weekend being conference specific before. Good luck everyone!
  10. I can’t stand Skip. Even back to his newspaper days. Like I said, Jerry is very loyal (unless it’s Jimmy Johnson) so who knows what will happen. As long as they keep Garrett, the Cowboys will keep losing.
  11. Obviously you guys have a chance any game with that tough defense. Garrett has to go. Too many years and no deep playoff run to be had. List the great players he’s had and basically nothing to show for it. His contract expires on 1/14/20. So they don’t have to actually fire him, but they need to get to work right now so it’s not a case of taking whomever is left. Jerry is too loyal - unless your name is Jimmy Johnson.
  12. Congratulations Bong Man! Your 2nd title, I believe. 🎉🍾🎉🏆 I still wish you had your old avatar... 😉 Thank you once again to Strider for putting together and maintaining the (usually) most enjoyable thread of the year! Once again, Pete Carroll chokes the chicken at the one yard line...
  13. Will they win their first playoff game this century?? Actually tomorrow is the 24th anniversary of their last playoff win.

  16. Yup I remember. He was hurt they let him go!
  17. Beautiful shots, Strider! Today we have a front moving back up on us. Still nice - 76, but rain over the next 3 days will be somewhat dreary.
  18. Beautiful photographs, gentlemen. Thank you for sharing them!
  19. I just disappear for a few while they eat and eat the feast. Then I can relax. All the best to you and Mrs CP as well. Your menu, once again, sounds scrumptious! Take care my brotha.
  20. Tonight it will be prime rib with twice baked potatoes, sautéed mushrooms, green bean casserole (my mother in law is making the casserole, which is never a good thing) and French rolls. Tomorrow I’m making a couple of turkey breasts, a honey ham, vegetable stuffing casserole, Mac and cheese, fresh steamed green beans and Mrs W’s corn bread. Homemade Christmas cookies, pound cake with berries, apple pie and ice cream for the desserts. Lots of booze will be on hand, with the occasional step out....
  21. Beast Mode back in Seattle!
