Stormbringer is much for funk & R&B then the previous Burn. I do enjoy funk music, but I also find it sad that it was the first album you heard. The first one I heard was Fireball.
However, at least you got to Soldier Of Fortune before me.... and damn, that is a song only a Mr. David Coverdale could do
Tommy Bolin was a American guitarist in a British band. Also, that concert was taken in Long Beach California, and was literally their only above-average perforamce of the Come Taste The Band tour. Listen to the Last Live In Japan 1975, and it just sucks, man. Tommy is so god damn high, that Jon Lord has to play the guitar parts on the keyboards. Same with the Liverpool show in '76. It just sucks.
Related to Kashmir (but not the lyrics), I feel like the song could've done with at least a decent guitar solo. But it is still an amazing song, one of their best.
Nice. You see them live?
Also, (activate teacher's pet) the SW tour was only in America and Japan in 1989. 1990 was the Urban Jungle Tour, which covered Europe. There were two different stage sets.
Lol 🤪
Nice and sunny here in down under... where I live, the weather is very unpredictable, which can either be a good thing or a bad thing. Like, one day it's rain and thunderstorms, next we're all getting heatstroke.
I'm gonna put myself in your shoes....
To be honest with you, most of the songs from Presence were not my favourite, and would've rather seen something else. I would've wanted to hear more Physical Graffiti.
It would have been New Orleans, but the end of the tour in Philadelphia would've definently beaten it. There would be, what, 100,000 people! If the tickets were 10 dollars, it would end up being $1,000,000
I think that would break every thing....
