  1. I can't say for sure as it was 43 years ago and I was only a kid at the time. I know he came on with the shades but do not know when he tossed them. It was my first concert and what a way to start! No other concert has come close to how good they were that night. That's not to say I have not been to shows with better sound and mixing. When I saw Don Henley in 89' in Chicago, wow, now that was the best sound I have ever heard at any show. What was wild was the volume was not loud, I was having conversations at normal vocal levels off and on during the gig but every note was crystal clear, the sound just enveloped you. Don't know who produced that show, the soundboard people, engineer but they are the tops. And the acoustics were perfect. It was a small-medium venue (the UIC Pavilion), only 9,500 people at max capacity but part of the place was curtained off so there were about 5,500 people there that night.
  2. Jimmy was channeling future Madonna or Lady Gaga for that gig as he started the show with the Nazi officer cap, boots, and pants then switched out the hat for a white Fedora handed to him by someone in the crowd. The he came back wearing the white silk suit but the pants had yet to be embroidered so they were plain. I believe this was the only show he ever did a complete change of clothes during the gig plus wore two different hats. Thank god he did not channel his inner Peter Gabriel otherwise he might have come out in a turd suit.
  3. The tape of April 10th was rough and raw, not the performance. The April 10th show in Chicago was one of the best show of the first leg. I should know as I was there.
  4. Sorry, outside of Frop I just say no 😉
  5. I remember seeing Fire Walk with Me when it first came out. Great movie. I have it on DVD. The cabin scene is worth the price alone.
  6. Yes, love TP but have not watched Season 3 yet. Planning on binging the whole season over the Christmas holiday 🙂
  7. Now there goes one very wacky dude. Love Lynch and his dreamscape / nightmare visions. Lynch is the master of the adult fairy tale.
  8. I remember when Abigail came out. Loved that album and Them was even better. His recent Give Me Your Soul...Please is pretty good.
  9. Ever see any interviews with him? The guy is downright hilarious. To say I love me King Diamond would be a understatement.
  10. Such a grumpy man old Pete is. He should be happy he whacked Abbie Hoffman on the head with his axe when Hoffman jumped on stage. Hoffman had it coming (you NEVER jump on stage uninvited during a bands set), but obviously this action was not enough to satiate Pete's burning hatred of anything not composed exclusively by him. Either that or its all a poorly orchestrated PR stunt which has been going on for over five decades.
  11. Bingo! The idea of a husband & wife doom metal team gives me the warm and fuzzies. Reminds me of when King Diamond released No Presents for Christmas.
  12. This was a misunderstood movie if there ever was one. It was somewhat weak on the overall plot, but the symbolism, imagery, and allegory was quite impressive. If you know what you are watching its a pretty good movie.
  13. This lockdown for musicians would be the perfect vehicle for Jimmy to play live again without the fear of messing up. He could tape a live performance in a studio and then edit any mistakes in case he has confidence issues. Kinda like a soft roll out.
  14. If your gonna go, that's the best way to go about it
  15. Yep, went full Liberace right there. Never go full Liberace, please.
  16. Could be, it's one way to get media coverage and become relevant again, at least in his mind. Poor Pete
  17. 10:25 - 10:56 priceless, full Sexual Chocolate
