All of the top games this week are on Sunday?

Yes, it’s the last day of the premier league season.

The one thing that still gets my goat is that all (4)  managers are Foreign. Come to think of it so are most of the players. No wonder we never win any big country tournaments?

Yup,  Man Utd  and Liverpool  have had their greatest success's under foreign management, well Scottish is slightly foreign isn't it 😉.

Wow...the English Premier League, Kings Of Europe!

Not only are both Champions League finalists Premier League teams, both Europa League finalists are as well! (Trivial fact as a result - the UEFA Super Cup game in August will also be an all-Premier League affair; a fact, if I remember correctly, that is unprecedented.)

Well done to Liverpool, Tottenham, Arsenal, and Chelsea!

Good post, thank feck Citeh are not one of those four teams.

Well, if you ignore the fact that Man City are still on-target for, and will most probably get, a domestic quadruple (Community Shield, League Cup, EPL title, and FA Cup all during the same season - if memory serves, I think this is also unprecedented, at least in recent years) - so, I don’t think he’ll be crying too much. 😉

Thank you for the list above too; my original comment was specifically in reference to the EPL. I had suspected (and in fact knew, from the more recent years) that it had happened with other leagues. Still, a great accomplishment.

Proof that you can buy anything (except a European trophy) when your team is state sponsored with billions of £ at their disposal, a bottomless pit of money, it's a mockery, thoroughly  undeserved. I don't care how entertaining Citeh have been for the tourists that fill the otherwise empty seats in their rented stadium. I'm sorry Forevermore but  great accomplishment my backside.

    The Matalans 4 v The Catalans 0

What a result !! Take that Messi. Didn't see it myself but have seen the goals this morning. @JTM  This is not a dream !

Oh yes, unfunkingbelievable what a result, totally unexpected. To draw level at 3 - 3 was one thing but that cheeky corner from Trent AA to Origi for the fourth goal was pure genius, Barca were asleep, serves 'em right.  The other good thing, the traitorous Courtinio and cheat Suarez were in the losing side. Bring on number six.

Did Kane  play for Tottenham?  Freakin joke, losing to Bournesworth.  Idiots.

    Kane is out injured.

Meh, what a letdown and dark as hell. Now that I think of it, it could have been Citizen Cane level shit going on and I would never know it from that horrible darkness. Muddiest film I have ever seen.

Far to dark even with all the lights off,  2000(?) Dolthraki gone with a flicker, the most disappointing  battle  scene (so far) of the whole eight series. Other than that a fairly satisfying episode.

Black Sabbath in name only, The Tony Iommi Band in reality. There's really only one Black Sabbath (imo) Butler, Iommi, Osborne, Ward.

City should blow them out . That game earlier in the year when Manchester City rallied to beat Liverpool was fabulous.

Nah, no it wasn't. City were nobodies until they became Qatar FC. Everything they have won last few seasons they've bought. They are so great they can't even sell out a home game, even their home ground, the rented Etihad Stadium is nicknamed the Emptyhad.

Well I never??? You have no chance of United even scoring against City. We have been pretty shit the last few weeks and the thought of the title going down the M62, United may as well play with 9 men.

You're old enough to remember Denis Law's back heel that set United down in the 70's?

I remember Utd being relegated (73/74 season?) but not Law's back heel.  Anyway, I get it that many Utd fans would rather see them lose against City, anything to prevent Liverpool having any chance of winning the Prem, arch rivals and all that.  [and] Yes Utd have been shit last few game or so, ever since Ollie got the managerial contract, baffling really since they were doing so well after  JM got his contract terminated.

Edit. Hang on, the old memory banks hadn't fired up. I can recall that now, wasn't Law  heartbroken in scoring that goal against his old team, but were they already going down anyway..

well MU just got whacked good by Everton and Pickford

Yep, good though that Cardiff got beaten by Liverpool. Now for Wednesday, it's crucial for Liverpool that Utd don't lose to City.

  13. Liverpool are the only team that can catch Man City providing City don't win all of their remaining four Premier League games, the only slip up City might make is in their next game against Man Utd, I can't see them dropping any points in their other three remaining games. As for Liverpool they too have four Premier League games left to play, four games that they are favourite to win. If City draw or loose against Utd that will give Liverpool the advantage, overall though Liverpool have more games left to play because they are still champions league (Euro) contenders. Personally I want Liverpool to win the Prem so next Wednesday I shall be routing for Utd to at least draw, preferably win against City, if that happens Liverpool will be favourites to be Champions.

Somebody please explain how this damn premier league works?  All of a sudden, Manchester City is no longer the monster they were all year.  All of a sudden bad teams are winning.  All of a sudden there is no scoring.  All of a sudden nothing makes any sense?  Is it settled?  Are the best players being benched?  Is there  aa playoff?  Or is this all that Euro league crap?

The best players are only benched if they are injured or out of form. There is nothing out of the ordinary going on in the premiership, teams win, teams lose, that's footie. There is not nor will there ever be a playoff, the team with the most points and/or the best goal difference will be the team that wins the premiership (if two teams finish on the same number of points). As for the Euro League, that is far from crap. I get that you think "nothing makes sense" I still don't get American Football and I've been trying to since the early eighties when Super Bowl was first broadcast, I've tried following the weekly NFL highlights show but it's akin to watching a film in a foreign language I just can't fully grasp it so I've given up.

Ajax : Tottenham and  Barca : Liverpool make 4 fantastic semi-finals and we will see a great finale in Champions League

City spent more than 1 Billion last year but you can't buy the Champions League title. HA! The competition is too strong.
I bet City's Sheikh is not amused :hysterical:

    Cool stats:

Defo not amused, anyway any money spent is pocket change to any oilygark (sic) Sheik.

  16. The building is now a shell, French Prez Marcon has plans to rebuild in five years. That is  a little over ambitious, York Minster was gutted by fire in 1984, thirty five years on exterior stonework renovation work has still not been fully completed.

  17. Well then, Tiger's back (there's a pun in there somewhere), what a great win.  I watched the last two days undisturbed in my "man cave", after the win I went through to the living room to tell my wife he'd won only to find she'd watched the last half a dozen holes so she already knew. I wonder if a few whacks with a golf club from his ex missus when she discovered his indiscretions  had anything to do with his low years. Now let's see if he can keep it up.

I hate cell phones, worst invention ever. Turned 8 hour employees into 24/7 employees yet pay is still the same. People are on them while driving, shopping, eating, etc. Just crazy.

I have an iPhone X plus but it is provided by my work, I don't own a cell phone personally. When the day comes my employer no longer provides this evil device I will go out and get a goddamned Jitterbug or some similar shit. Only will need it to send and receive calls and maybe an occasional text. I use a REAL computer for everything else as I don't have ambition to go either blind or nearsighted due to browsing on such a small screen.

BTW, did I mention I hate cell phones?

If I was still working any work phone would be switched off outside the eight hours especially if I was driving where using a phone is illegal anyway, also when I'm eating and defo when I'm sleeping, 24/7 gtf.

You mean, Plant actually smacked him, like physically? As in, he took his hand and slapped it up side Jimmy's face leaving a red mark?

Someone saying "I smacked him one" means they got a punch, same with " I gave him a slap" that's a punch too.
