The Coopers soundtrack, from Republic Records, also features two Dylan songs, as well as Nina Simone, Sting and Fleet Foxes among others.Love The Coopers centers on four generations of a family who come together for their annual Christmas Eve celebration, and a series of unexpected visitors and unlikely events turn the night upside down. Diane Keaton, John Goodman, Ed Helms, Olivia Wilde, Amanda Seyfried, Anthony Mackie and Marisa Tomei lead the ensemble cast helmed by Jessie Nelson.http://deadline.com/2015/11/love-the-coopers-robert-plant-alison-krauss-new-song-soundtrack-1201606941/

luvlz2
Very nice, the second time I have ever heard Robert Plant sing a Christmas themed song, the first time was when he performed on Saturday Night Live.

SuperDave
This is a great song and I love it! Alison and Robert compliment each other so well as they did on "Raising Sand" and this may work as well, if not better than anything on "Raising Sand." Patrycja
^ Right on cue, a snippet of a detail about its recording: Speaking about the new song, Robert commented that it occurred as a "... whistle stop in Nashville.. with my old accomplice... quick and fun... wow, she didn't say it's a Christmas song!"http://www.robertplant.com/#news
Patrycja
A tidbit about how "The Light of Christmas Day" was shaped into being:Helping to coordinate the music was famed producer T Bone Burnett, who’s best known for working with everyone from Bob Dylan and Roy Orbison to Elvis Costello and the Wallflowers. For the end credits, he produced a new tune called “Light of Christmas Day, ” which was written by Charles Duncan and recorded by Alison Krauss and Robert Plant, who last collaborated on the 2007 Grammy Award-winning LP “Raising Sand.” The rest of the article is more about the writer/director's inspiration behind and vision for the movie and how it all came together. It also explains how T Bone Burnett incorporated songs into the film with the help of a cast that was, much to his surprise, quite musically talented.http://www.courierpostonline.com/story/life/2015/11/10/family-dynamics-drive-love-coopers/75539630/
