Sue Dounim
At the dawn of 2016, does this record still stand for attendance for a single act? No, Queen took it with their shows in Sao Paulo in 1981 then I think U2 (barf) took it sometime after that.
Nutrocker
Didn't Paul McCartney play to something like 200000 people in South America (Rio? Sao Paulo?) one time? I'm thinking it was 1989...
Bozoso73
So could it still be a record for the United States?

IpMan
Who the hell is Jean Michel Jarre and why does everyone outside the US want to see him? This guy has performed at just about every one of those mega-concerts, usually as the headliner. I feel so provincial in the US when I find out about some international superstar that everyone knows and loves yet I have never even heard of. They all sell boatloads of records but no-one can understand the attraction.

Yanni and that Pan Flute playing dude who sold 500,000,000 records...I just do not get it. What is the attraction?
William Austin
George Strait had 105,000 in Dallas last year. He had several guest stars during the course of the concert, but overall was the only act.
The Only Way To Fly
Who holds the record for the least? Didn't U2 or REM play for like 5 people and a dog at one gig or something?

If you ask someone from Europe (excluding the UK) to list the top 10 European rock stars of all time, Falco will usually still make the list. Guilty pleasure... I LOVE Falco! Brilliantin' Brutal BABY!!! But yes, everyone has their thing I guess.
