AngelOfAvalon
I've always wondered what Carouselambra means (as a word or phrase). I know there's real LZ wizards here so what would be a better place to ask this question. Anyone?

DianaC
I really don't know (so I can't actually answer)... but I liked the song, I just heard it this week!! (it's a bit too long tho, but pretty good) I think if they had kept playing during the 80's their music would probably sound more like this rather than 'metalish'... (is that a word?) hehehehe PS: Sorry my bad english...

ZeppFanForever
Well, unless the image of a carousel of amber is what they were suggesting, I haven't really advanced us anywhere! Yeah, but its a real fine place to start! ROCK ON!
FireOpal
Carousel, meaning the music is spinning around and... well then it kind of sounds like "Alhambra" referring to the spectacular Moorish palace and gardens in Spain. So the title could be describing the music with its intricate arabesque patterns that swirl in a kaleidescopic display. Or it could be about sex, I dunno. That's what Jim Morrison said whenever a writer asked him what a particular song meant and he didn't want to tell them (or it couldn't be described), "It's about sex." ro_a
But it's CarouselaMbra I was hoping no one would notice. No slipping one by you, eh? I like your amber explanation.
Evster2012
I was hoping no one would notice. No slipping one by you, eh? I like your amber explanation. Yeah, I have an annoying eye for detail!! On a serious note, I am trying to find some congruity between the title and the lyrics. Might as well be Black Dog. The Wanton One
There was a book in the local library concerning Led Zeppelin songs and all their history, but I cannot remember exactly what it was called but that had the meaning of all the songs they ever did,so it would be in there somewhere.
