I wish you all good luck. That painting has been hanging on my wall for the past few months, so I hope it goes to a home that will love it as much as I did! I have to get Jon to paint me another one.... :D

Another thing I should mention is that each band member will have a guest book made for them for visitors to the exhibit to sign. I didn't want to leave out those who couldn't make it to Knebworth, so if you visit the web page and click on Guest Books link, you can leave your messages of thanks to the band for 40 years of music! I'll fit in as many as I can from the website entries. Each band member has his own book, so you have to sign them separately. John's will be sent to his family.

Thanks slave to zep. I wish you could be there too. I have a nice Zep fan that volunteered to be our official photographer for the evening, so they'll be lots of pics to see.

I hope everyone likes the prizes and will enter the contests. The radio is right around the $3,000 dollar mark, and the painting is amazing. Only the best for Zep fans!

Edit to add - by evening I mean the evening of the reception, as the exhibit runs for 33 days.

PageAngel,

once more I am astonished by your unique and creative ideas. The painting is superb!

All the best for the event.

Gosh...thanks. I hope we can raise a lot of money for The ABC. All my ideas mean nothing if the fans don't like the prizes or the things I have to sell to raise funds. If you can enter, please do! And if you can't, perhaps you can spread the word about the contest far and wide! It's really all down to Zeppelin's fans how this event really goes.

Thanks so much to the board's admin for making this a pinned topic. It helps a lot. :thanku:

You're welcome for the computer background Dancin'Days! I am assuming you used Jon's painting and not the radio... :D I hope you'll enter the contest in exchange for the nice background! Those little children in Brazil need every penny! :)

Good luck Zoso91 - the prizes would be a great birthday present!

I love it too. I entered. I'd be shocked if I win. Oh, I would love to be there. I hope my things arrived? I had done a little message for Jimmy, as well for his guestbook. The others I'm not entire sure what I could say, but thank you. Keep me up to date, Annie, whether it's on here on in a PM. That's where I really am.

Allright! I got my fav denizen of the airwaves and local GTLO ( Get The Led Out ) mistress to mention the fabulous Knebworth Exhibit on her page:

http://www.q1043.com/pages/onair/carolmiller.html

I think they still need to fix the link, I'll follow up with them tomorrow, but in case you're taking the extra strength Mandrax...

www.memoriesinmusic.com

Pay a visit, enter the 'raffle' or just make a donation to help support Casa Jimmy, and sign the guestbook. Let Led Zeppelin know how much you as a fan appreciate all the great music and vibes they given us over the years.

Alas I won't be there but some of my stuff will. Then I'll have to pry it outta Annie's hands to get it back! ; )

Great work Annie!

Hi PageAngel,

Thanks for the hard work and wonderful opportunity for great cause for ABC...Just wondering, how is the "squeezing" of entries coming along...I am supporting by entering the contest several times, but I am not sure if there is still room for personal entries...thanks for answering

(by the way I earlier wanted to find you Zep MEMRBLIA, but this Site already had few articles from the shows here back then.. I visited the Library historics and few emails, but to not much avail this time...

Anyway if you could quickly let us know about are chances of entries officially accepted, I really appreicated...ofcourse fans will still donate

Thanks for your support PlanetPage. The guest book entries are still being accepted, so please go ahead and send yours. I think I may have a supplement printed to add to each of the guest books for the online comments. It's always better to get in sooner rather than later though!

Thanks for response and opportunity...I have entered the contest several times... hope I win.. nevertheless, the donation itself is a winning, satisfying feeling.

I have also emailed my personal entries to each band member...short but sweet, just one thing, I had to re-do for "Page" email..please ignore the one without my name and it was half-complete from my writing..

thanks

Just wanted to say a big 'Thank You' to Annie and co for the great reception and display. It was something of a pilgrimage for me to return to Knebworth as the last time was that life-changing show in 1979. This time I got to see the house!

The concept that Annie has is indeed a great one, sharing our memories for a good cause and not keeping them locked away. I do hope that the idea can be moved forward and I know she would love to see this develop further. Hopefully support will continue and increase over time.

Great to meet Zacron, what a lovely chap he is.

A real 'Celebration Day' for all Led Zeppelin fans.

I took some photo's which I'll check out and post somewhere when I get chance.

Thanks Annie, you rock!

:D

You're very welcome. I enjoyed working on this tremendously, and have gained a lot of invaluable experience and amazing contacts. Things are already underway for the next exhibit, and you wouldn't believe it, but people have come to this exhibit to ask if they can contribute to the next one. One man took a holiday in the area just to come see this and offer to help me with the next one. Isn't that great? I hope next time even more collectors will contribute. Seeing your treasures on a display and knowing the money is not making the organisers rich but is all going to make a lasting difference in the world is a great, great thing. Your memorabilia can help the band's charities and make people smile...it's fantastic! Watching fans light up when they see things is so special. I had a 13 year old today who was so happy to see the memorabilia and he thanked me for making him feel like a real proper Zeppelin fan. Awwww....

Thanks PlanetPage.

The photos of the signed radio and painting are up on the website - so now you can see what your prize will look like with the lovely Jimmy's signature on them. He's so awesome....

radio: http://memoriesinmusic.com/comp_f80.html

painting: http://memoriesinmusic.com/comp_ptg.html

I just noticed on the radio shot you can see his signature behind it as well on the print of LZ IV on loan from St Paul's Gallery. That's kind of fun! :D His signature is so nice, you may as well see it twice!

We certainly could use all the help we can get spreading the word about the contest. All help is greatly appreciated! I keep emailing everywhere I can asking for a link to be posted to the contest, but there is only one of me - the more the better if anyone has a bit of time and would like to help. Only 2 weeks left before the draw!

Hi Annie!

Just wanted to let you know that I received the program in the mail yesterday. Thank you for offering it to those of us that can not attend. Every bit helps.......so for those that can't attend or donate in any other way. Buy a program! Let's all dig deep and help out whatever way we can. A big fat check to the ABC from the fans would be wonderful!

Thank you again for including everyone! You are a doll!
