  1. The software I use puts the guitar and keyboards in the same track, so I cannot adjust the level of one without making the other louder as well. I can use EQ to try to separate them so I can modify their volumes separately, but I've had limited success with that in the past.
  2. Thanks. I've been working on that 3/21/75 show for a long time, and realized recently that I needed to start again from scratch. Not sure how long it will take to complete, but that performance is so good that I want to make sure I get it right.
  3. Not sure how I stumbled across this, but it sounds like a thousand years ago a small isolated group of Scandinavians decided to pass down the emotional history of their people to their descendants by encoding it in this music:
  4. There may be a mixed version of 3/21/75 around eventually, if I ever finish it. And there's already a mixed version of the full 3/11/75 show. Send me a PM for the link, if you're interested.
  5. Thanks, yet again, for digging this kind of stuff up and sharing it.
  6. I had a self-proclaimed Led Zeppelin fan tell me when we heard Thank You that it was not a Led Zeppelin song, so I'll go with it.
  7. This sounds like a great performance. Thanks for sharing the clips.

  9. Maybe it's this: https://www.popsike.com/LED-ZEPPELIN-WHOLE-LOTTA-LOVE-STAIRWAY-TO-HEAVEN-UK-WHITE-LABEL-PROMO-45/140942176581.html
  10. 1000mods. I've been on a stoner rock kick recently and have bought about 50 albums on bandcamp. This is the latest, which is from one of what seems like 1000 killer bands from Greece.
  11. I have no idea if there's more footage, but I would bet against it. This was shot from so close to the stage that it looks like it was in the photographers pit. If that's the case, it's likely that anyone in there was limited to shooting during the first couple of songs, which is what we see in the video.
  12. This is great. Thanks to everyone involved in making it public.
  13. This. Any live recordings we have of Jonsey using the Alembic capture only a fraction of what the audience would have heard, and felt, in the arena. John Entwistle also used Alembics in concert. There's zero chance the bass players from two of the heaviest live acts of the 1970's would have used them if they didn't kick serious ass. Info on Entwistle's Alembics, including an interview where he discusses why he started using them: https://www.thewho.net/whotabs/gear/bass/bass7585.html
  14. I still have some work to do on that show, so the version Jules has may be updated at some point.
  15. Cool. I'm glad you were able to get them burned to cds.
  16. I believe Bill Curbishly got both Jimmy and Robert the rights to their songs back.
  17. Great topic. For me it's 4/27/69, no question. Just a stellar performance, plus a bunch of songs that were never officially released, including a stunning version of As Long As I Have You. I really wish this was the show Jimmy included as the bonus for the remaster of the first album. Even though it's famous for a bootleg, there are still tons of casual Zep fans who have never heard it who would have been blown away by it like we all are.
  18. It's more prominent than it was, but the software I use puts the drums, vocals, and bass in three separate tracks and puts everything else in a single track. That's not an issue for songs like Sick Again where the guitar is the only other instrument and I can modify its level separately from the rest of the instruments. However, in the case of Kashmir that means the keyboards and guitar are in the same track, which makes it hard to make one louder without amplifying the other at the same time. Also, I haven't heard the Cuztard Pi matrix, but if the guitar is buried in it, it's possible the guitar was low in the mix during the concert. If that's the case, it will be hard to hear in the soundboard and audience recordings, so the only way to really fix it would be with the multi-tracks. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like we're going to get to hear them, if they even exist, so we're stuck for now. However, the technology to split songs into individual instruments continues to improve, so maybe in the future it will be smart enough to separate the keyboards and guitar, which would make it possible to bring up the level of the guitar on its own.
  19. Yeah, it's a killer show. Here's a sample:
  20. Here's a sample of TYG from the 2/15/96 remaster. The show is done, except that I need to fix some of the quiet parts between songs. They get too quiet.
