Right now, I am enjoying a large Cookies n' Cream Chiller from Gloria Jean's. YUM.
  2. That'll teach you to put your hands on someone else's lady. You're lucky all he did was punch you in the face.
  3. Let's see, the thread is asking for what the weather is like where you are. I posted what the weather was like where I am. Gee, I can't imagine why I posted it. It just isn't germane to this thread topic.
  4. Yeah, because I didn't feel like cooking and I can't afford to go anywhere else. New Year's Eve isn't a big deal to me, you know.
  5. Ah yes.....out with the old, in with the old.
  6. I had Chinese for dinner - sesame chicken with a couple crab rangoons.

  8. Dumbasses at work. It's like, they know I can't tolerate stupid so they just seek me out like I have a homing signal on my forehead.
  9. I don't see how doing nothing equates to being a "crashing bore". Some people don't see the need to get yockey-docked up and act like an ass in public. To each their own.
  10. Now that I'm home from work, my evening will be as follows: Reading, drinking hot cocoa, reading some more.
  11. I haven't read that thread in months. And thank God for that too, I was about thisclose to developing technology that would allow me to reach through a computer monitor and strangle people.
  12. I'm working. And then going home and doing nothing. I can't stand being around loud drunks, so I avoid days like New Years Eve and St. Patrick's Day like the plague.
  13. I bought this book for my Dad for Christmas:
  14. I'm sorry to hear it, breakups suck. That being said, I must concur with those here who've said to break off contact and let her go. It'll hurt because your heart is saying "I want to keep talking to her", but your brain has to overrule here. It's not good for either of you if you continue to have contact after you've split. If she's seeing someone new, that guy won't take too kindly to an ex constantly talking to his girlfriend. The same goes for if you see someone new.

    Drinks

I'm having a Diet Coke at the moment, but with dinner I broke down an ordered a drink: a Venetian Sunset. It's Martini and Rossi Asti with pineapple juice and cherry juice. Quite yummy.
  16. Yeah, 1972 and I'd even say 1973 as well.
  17. I like both, but I have bought more vinyl in the last 2 years than I have CDs. I save buying CDs for when they are releases from artists I collect. Other than that, I download everything else. So to choose one......vinyl.
  18. Don't think I'm condoning this nonsense, because I'm not. All I was saying is that the definition of "abuse" can become very broad very quickly when you tackle scenarios like this. I personally think raising children to be racists is mentally abusive. That being said, these fuckwits don't think what they think is wrong. They think it's the way it should be. So in their eyes, they're right and the rest of us are ass-backwards. You can't convince people like this of anything.
  19. This can easily become a slippery slope, because there are those who think raising a child in a religious home is akin to "vicious indoctrination" and therefore by your opinion, a form of child abuse. Personally, I think child abuse takes on many forms, not just punches and bruises. There's emotional abuse, verbal abuse, sexual abuse and physical abuse. All of them combine to create a home where a child is not safe. If you think raising children to be racists, neo-Nazis, anti-Semites, homophobes, etc., is abusive, then you'd be locking up more families than you'd care to admit.
  20. Sex involving children is one area where the laws should be as strict as humanly possible. Sorry, if you get caught having sex with a 13 year old.....regardless of their gender or your gender, you're a pedophile. It's not "memorable" for a 13 year old boy to get molested by a 40-something woman the same as it's not "memorable" for a 13 year old girl to get molested by a 40-something man. I don't care if the fucked-up male mind thinks scoring poon at 13 is a rite of passage or some other nonsense, IT'S DISGUSTING. Two thirteen year olds fooling around is one thing, but when an adult 30 years their senior decides "hey, that child looks sexually available".....why on earth do people condone this garbage?
