  1. It Ain't Me Babe - The Turtles
  2. He had the white poppy suit during the '77 tour.....rather apropos given his problems at the time. He had an embroidered jacket he wore during the concerts in 1973 filmed for The Song Remains The Same and you can see it on the Led Zeppelin DVD if you watch the performances from that show that didn't make the film.
  3. With A Little Help From My Friends & I Shall Be Released - Joe Cocker (Beatles, Bob Dylan) The End of the World - Brenda Lee (Skeeter Davis) How Can You Mend A Broken Heart? - Al Green (The Bee Gees) Baby, I Love You - Andy Kim (The Ronettes) All Along The Watchtower - Jimi Hendrix (Bob Dylan) Blinded By The Light - Mannfred Mann (Bruce Springsteen) Open Arms, I'll Be There, I Still Believe - Mariah Carey (Journey, The Jackson 5, Brenda K. Starr) Whiter Shade of Pale - Sarah Brightman (Procol Harem)
  4. I think the cheese finally slipped off your cracker.
  5. Whatever floats their tuna boat.
  6. How about you just let people call the songs whatever they want, and you call the songs whatever you want and we all just agree to disagree? This is music, not life or death. There's no need for everyone to get their hackles up over it.
  7. Of course the band themselves aren't going to think they did any filler. I doubt Jimmy Page would say something like "Oh The Crunge? Yeah, that's a pile of wank. We just stuck it on the album because we were bored." All artists are going to defend the merit of their work, even the stuff some fans may not like. Filler to one person might mean something totally different to another. To me, filler is songs on the album that are alright, but not strong enough to be singles/radio hits. In my opinion, Zeppelin did songs that fit that definition. Someone else here may think filler means songs that are utter garbage, and then list songs they think fit that definition. Who's right and who's wrong? Well, it's all subjective so we both are. Hence why I said I hate when people say "how can you call yourself a fan" or "what kind of Zeppelin fan are you" or "you aren't a Zeppelin fan if"......no one here gets to make the determination about who is a fan and who is not, or what degree of fan another person is. It doesn't work that way. We're all here because we're all fans of their music to one degree or another. Some are more devoted than others, but we're all fans. Saying someone is less of a fan or not a fan at all because they don't share the same opinion about a group of songs as you do, is IMO extremely arrogant. Although I do agree with you that arguing with people and fighting with them is totally pointless.

  9. It got up to 101 in our area this afternoon. I always wanted to hit triple digits.
  10. I hate when people start posts out like this. One of my single most glaring pet peeves when it comes to band fandom.
  11. I can't feel sorry for spoiled petulant shitheads who piss away all their talent and good fortune on drugs and alcohol. Her parents are total losers, she's got no one around her who seems to give a damn about whether she lives or dies.....either she cleans up and gets back on the straight and narrow or her parents can start making the funeral arrangements now. I liked her in Mean Girls, I thought she was good in Bobby.....but what the hell happened? Maybe she doesn't need jail -- sounds like she needs a mental health evaluation.
  12. Physical Graffiti. Zep IV had been my favorite, but I got so sick and tired of how overplayed it is, I just shelved it it and haven't listened to it in a long, long time. I prefer their underrated stuff more nowadays.....stuff people forget because it's not commercial or radio doesn't beat it to death. Aside from Kashmir, I've never heard anything off PG on the radio, which is why I like it so much.
  13. Sorry, had a brain fart. Don't know what I was thinking.
  14. Zep I: I Can't Quit You Baby Zep II: Dazed and Confused Zep III: Heartbreaker Zep IV: When The Levee Breaks HOTH: No Quarter PG: Ten Years Gone Presence: Tea For One ITTOD: In The Evening
  15. Good for you. Do you want a cookie? You missed the point of my original post, went off half-cocked for no reason and then when I explained the point of said post to you.....proceeded to again, miss the point.
  16. Wow....I haven't heard that song in years, it seems. Thanks for reminding me how much I used to love it. Right now I'm listening to......
  17. For me, Physical Graffiti. I always loved it and thought it was very artistic and interesting.
  18. Stairway To Heaven, Hot Dog, Hats Off to Roy Harper, Candy Store Rock, Royal Orleans, Livin' Lovin' Maid, The Crunge, Your Time Is Gonna Come.....more than a few. They did some great songs but then IMO, they did some real clunkers. No different than any other band, really.
  19. 1. Physical Graffiti 2. Presence 3. Zep I 4. Zep IV 5. In Through The Out Door Zep IV may have a curious placement to some of you, but I'm really, really, really burnt out on that album.
