  2. Favorite Pink Floyd album? Yikes....too hard to choose sometimes. I'd say either Obscured By Clouds or Dark Side of the Moon. To be honest though, every album they did from 1971 to 1977 is absolutely phenomenal, as is The Division Bell. I can't stand The Wall, aside from 6 songs and find it nearly unlistenable. The Wall movie is a pile of crap and frankly, they should all be ashamed they put their names on it.
  3. Kashmir. I can't choose Stairway since I don't even think it's the best song on Zep IV.
  4. Chicago is awesome. The band ain't half bad either. When Peter Cetera took over as the full-time lead singer, they started going downhill. He was alright before that with the few songs he sang lead on, since he has such a distinctive voice.
  5. Depends on the album, personally. Some of their albums I like listening to all the way through, others I just jump ahead to the songs I like. It's the reverse of how I feel about PF's music -- I always listen to their albums all the way through, from start to finish.....except The Wall and The Final Cut. Yeesh.
  6. I mentioned this before in Ramble On I think, but a friend of mine sent me a Pink Floyd boot from Philadelphia in 1987 and included was a bonus disc of a soundcheck they did in Austria in 1988 and during one of the random jams they were doing on stage, one of them turned into Heartbreaker.....and not Pat Benatar's version. It was probably the opening riff and maybe part of the 1st verse, but it was trippy hearing David Gilmour playing something Jimmy Page wrote as I don't think Page ever did any jamming and incorporated Pink Floyd into it. It was pretty neat, anyway. Apparently there's a clip of them doing Good Times, Bad Times as well but I don't know how verifiable that is; none of my usual bootleg contacts have heard of it.
  7. It looks really good, so you won't get any bad reviews from me. Honestly, it looks professionally done -- I doubt anyone here could do any better. Maybe Sam should hit you up to make some wallpapers for the main site.
  8. Nice to see so many votes for Ten Years Gone. I've been listening to quite a few live performances of that song and I'm loving it more than I did before, when I only heard the album version.
  9. You shouldn't need to be drunk/stoned/high/blitzed/wasted to enjoy any music, whether live or a studio album. Suggesting that someone should is silly.
  10. Robert Plant is under absolutely no obligation from anyone, least of all himself, to do anything with the other members of Led Zeppelin. He just isn't. We'd all like to see it sure, but I'd also like a million dollars in unmarked bills on my doorstep in the morning, but we all know that ain't gonna happen. It's time people started coming to grips with the fact the O2 concert was a one-off, a tribute to a great man, and nothing more. There won't be a tour, there won't be an album, there won't be another concert. Enjoy the albums, enjoy the bootlegs, enjoy the videos of their live shows.....because that's all we're going to have.
  11. Robert Plant interview from '75: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nPyKFAx5-lQ
  12. I have that one, and I love it. I always thought the '77 tour wasn't that good on account of Page's heroin problem but this particular show is scorching.
  13. I have good headphones, but I don't do drugs. So I'll skip that part of your suggestion.
  14. I just wanted to thank you guys again for your great suggestions.....I've got about 6 or 7 boots now to listen to and I'm gonna enjoy each one.
  15. Babe I'm Gonna Leave You. I Can't Quit You Baby is my favorite song on the album.
  16. Oh wow, what a great site. Thanks so much for that -- that's definitely something I was looking for to add to the input I got from people here.
  17. Thanks, I really appreciate all the input. I'll have fun looking for these.
  18. One, I wasn't directing that at anyone on this board, so save your rolling eyes for another time. Two, it's not my fault that those songs get overplayed on the radio, often to the detriment of other songs that deserve as much, if not more airplay.
  19. I give it a big fat "meh". It's not bad, it's not good.....it just is. I much prefer Heartbreaker and on the rare instance I hear it on the radio, I'll switch the station before LLM starts.
  20. In The Evening Tea For One I'm Gonna Crawl Ten Years Gone Since I've Been Loving You When The Levee Breaks I Can't Quit You Baby That's The Way Going To California No Quarter Believe it or not, Led Zeppelin did more than Whole Lotta Love, Stairway To Heaven, Black Dog, Rock and Roll, Kashmir, Fool In The Rain and All My Love.
  21. I don't think it takes a whole lot of reading between the lines to figure out it's about sex and that "I'm gonna give you every inch of my love" refers to a body part most men measure in inches, and no I'm not talking about the spleen. Also, "shake for me girl, I wanna be your backdoor man"......that's pretty self-explanatory.
  22. That's rather crass, don't you think?
  23. I troll the interwebs looking for the hottest pics of David I can find, then and now. I never disappoint myself. I hope you enjoy it at LGW.....lots of good people there.
