Sunny, warm with a gentle breeze blowing through my backyard. A perfect summer day to celebrate my first born's 23rd birthday! I can't believe it.

Actually, we are seeing Petty in Portland. Not into the Fenway concert thing, though I 'get it'. Besides, Portland is a great little New England town that I've yet to explore.

'Breakfast' is my all time fave go-to movie!! My daughter and I go to NYC every year at Christmas, and Tiffany's is always on our list. Where nothing bad can happen...;-)

Shopping with my teenaged daughter today. We were at Forever 21 and she passed by a cute t shirt with Ms Audrey Hepburn on it. She bought it! Keepin it classy...yay me

Thanks to my extraordinarily intelligent daughter, eh hem, I got to see the Magna Carta today at the MFA Boston. I can't even begin to describe the emotions I had just looking at a piece of paper with writing on it. Resting not 10 feet from it was the Declaration of Independence, and 5 feet in the other direction was JFK's speech from September 11, 1958. The Magna Carta is almost 800 yrs old. I didn't know that! We also visited the Ancient World exhibit. Some of these reliefs, artifacts, and statues are from as far back as 21and change BC. Makes me wonder what anthropologists will say about us 1,000 or 10,000 years from now.

Volunteering for Hospice? She's an angel. Oncology is tough enough most days, no way could I handle hospice. God love her.

Hot and humid, but just enough of a breeze to keep the mosquitoes away.. Perfect porch weather with a glass of Pinot...or two. Cheers, all!

It's not everyday one has the opportunity to be up close to the Presidential motorcade. He exited the DCU center just beyond the news vans to the right. Also pictured is a lucky find from the sidewalk in downtown Worcester, Ma.

Dinner and good conversation with my parents and my family last evening. Feeling lucky to have had parents like mine. Oh, and my 71 yr old father bought himself a new Harley. Happy. :-)
