RIP Joan...upon hearing the news of her death I FORCED myself to laugh with friends and co workers. I grew up listening to her with my Dad and watching how hard he would laugh at her jokes. Simpler times. I passed the appreciation of an acerbic sense of humor onto my daughter and hopefully have raised a woman with thick skin. She's gonna need it. (Those who know me on this forum know I tell it like it is...no apologies) When I got home this evening, I found my daughter on the couch with a frown on her face watching E!'s tribute to Joan. She then recited a quote from Joan's twitter page in June...Mom, she said, Joan tweeted that she's had so much plastic surgery, she's afraid that when she dies god won't recognize her..lmao. Sleep well, Ms Rivers. You've lived a good life and given laughter an joy to countless.

I am so sorry for everyone involved. Life gets hard and complicated and some people just can't cope. But you're right, it's times like these that should serve as a reminder that everyone we meet has this invisible bubble over their heads. You never know what others are carrying, so be nice. My hair is thick, but bone straight...ugh. The bleach I use in the summer for some highlighting gives it texture (or roughness) but I still needed more so I found a product by KENRA that's called simply, texture spray. So far so good... Because I blow dry my hair often, I use a serum by Davines called repairing sealing serum, but only on the ends as my hair tends to get oily still. And it has cherry oil so it smells delicious!!!

Tomato is a fruit, right? ;-) 1 cucumber ( or 6-7 Kirby's ) 4-5 tomatoes, seeded 1 green bell pepper, seeded 3 scallions 4 radishes Salt and pepper All of the above chopped to perfection. So this 49 yr old man is getting chemo for his esophageal cancer. He's married with 2 little boys, ages 7 and 9. The chemo bays all have televisions in them to help patients pass the time during their sometimes 6 hour long treatments. He had it on one of the sports channels and was watching with his youngest son when the doctor came in the room to check on him. The doctor says, "wow, that Rory McElroy is some golfer!" The kid says excitedly, "yah!" The doctor says, "bet you want to be like him when you grow up"! The kids starts to nod and say yes, but then pauses and looks over at his Dad and says, "nah, I want to be like my Dad." The room went silent as we all tried to swallow the lump in our throats. Out of the mouths of babes. And on that note, have a wonderful weekend, gang!!
