  1. I wish that this song will be stuck in my head, for at least a couple of weeks! So gorgeous! But please Mr. Brain! No more Taylor Swift! Please!!!
  2. It seems like my brain is a Rush jukebox, these days! Ha! But there were times when my brain practically malfunctioned this week and for some reason, played parts of a random shitty tune by mediocre 'artists' like Taylor Swift! Luckily, a good loud listen of some Led Zeppelin, Queen and Rush songs, cured that! Care for some intellectual rapping?
  3. Many Many Happy Returns of the Day, Glyn! Many thanks for taking the time and trouble for maintaining the .info site! I enjoy posting there, immensely! Cheers! Have a great birthday!
  4. Awww...gee thanks, Debbie! But I'm afraid my singing and humming voice will give you quite a fright. Plus, Clint Eastwood will definitely not approve! But it is fun trying to sing it though!
  5. Some of us millennials can be pretty friendly and nice, you know? I am of the opinion that Baby Boomers are cool and interesting people!
  6. Potato Salad (featuring bits of boiled potatoes, onions, peas, low fat mayonnaise, bits of boiled egg, a pinch of salt, black pepper, paprika powder, bits of pickled cucumber, tabasco sauce and vinegar) surrounded by Doritos, coupled with a few shots of (what turned out to be) an incredibly tame and girly Scotch Whisky. Blimey! It was as if it was a girly girl's drink. I like my whisky to have a certain oomph factor! Some spice. Some character. Some peatiness. Some intrigue. Something! Not something which attracts a cheesy pickup line like : Hiya doll face! Would ya like a shot?!
  7. All this talk of The Good, The Bad And The Ugly, resulted in me trying to hum the opening notes of the theme tune while cooking this evening aaaand I (instead) ended up sounding like a wolf that was howling in pain!
  8. R.I.P Joe Alaskey (the designated successor to the legendary Mel Blanc). He served as the voice of famous Looney Tunes characters such as Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Sylvester and Tweety, since the late 1980's. He passed away on the 3rd of February. I found out about this, just a few hours ago. A sad time for Looney Tunes enthusiasts like myself! 63 is way too young! Joe Alaskey, voice of Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, dies aged 63 Emmy-winning voice actor also played Richard Nixon in Forrest Gump, and various cartoon stars since the late 1980s including Tweety and Sylvester the Cat Joe Alaskey, the successor to Mel Blanc, died at the age of 63 in New York. Photograph: Kevin Winter/Getty Images Joe Alaskey, the voice behind notable cartoon characters including Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, died of cancer on Wednesday. He was 63. The voice actor, who was born in upstate New York, started out as a standup impressionist. He worked with voice actor June Foray on a Boston radio morning show called Effective Radio with Bill. In the late 1980s, he was hired by Warner Bros. Alaskey is credited as one of the successors of voice and comedic actor Mel Blanc after he died in 1989. He took on famous roles like Tweety and Sylvester the Cat. Since then, Alaskey has held a wide range of parts including Marvin the Martian, Grandpa Lou Pickles from the show Rugrats, Stinkie from the film Casper, and Plucky Duck on Tiny Toon Adventures. His latest credits include the voice of Droopy on Tom and Jerry and Green Loontern in Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham. He also narrated television documentary series Murder Comes to Town, which aired on the Investigation Discovery Network. 9. Another thing that made me happy fairly recently, was NZ's triumph over Australia in the 1st ODI, by 159 runs! Good luck to both teams, for the 2nd ODI tomorrow! If there is one thing that I love, it is Saturday Morning cricket! Hope you get to watch tomorrow's game, Julie and Reggie!
  10. Gearing up for the 35th anniversary that is about a week away!
  11. You're very welcome, Pat! Always a pleasure to help. Hope the rest of those software issues have been fixed!
  12. Hi Julie! I just remembered our conversation from a while ago. I have almost finished reading that book on the history of the Ashes and I found a nice quote that to a certain degree, summarizes Simon Hughes' opinion on Mr. Morris' batting technique and I have to share it with you: 'Arthur Morris was an elegant left-hander with superb concentration, accomplished against all types of bowling but especially fluent against spin'. I hope you succeeded in getting that book that you wanted, about Mr. Morris, for your hubby.
  13. Thank you so very very very much, res! You made my day by leading me on to this album and band!! It is so heartening to know that there are bands in this day and age that still believe in epics and concept albums, especially when so many seem to be so callously declaring, that the concept of an album is dead! What a load of bullshit!
  14. Looking forward to celebrating two anniversaries, next week (just days within each other): My parents' 35th Wedding Anniversary (on the 9th of February) - I'm so happy for those two crazy kids The 35th Anniversary of the release of one of my favourite Progressive Rock albums on earth (on the 12th of February)
  15. Great song. Fabulous video. This is how a music video should be and not like all the trash that's 'out there', these days!
  16. I unfortunately, couldn't find the studio version of this song, but I have to say, that the live version of this song, is just as smashing!
  17. Well, I've been thinking about this a lot lately, and it struck me that I have never really gotten down to making a list of my favourite movies (the ones that I can watch over and over again - this list will definitely expand with time, but at the moment, this is it). Anyway, here goes nothing. It's a long list, so please pardon me! Horror Band Films / Documentaries Musicals Thrillers and Super-natural movies Drama Comedy I Love You Man has been included in this list, because of Rush! Animation Well, that's a wrap! Whew!
  18. Gosh Debbie, you sure are making me hungry! I love listening to music, while I cook!
