  1. Hi Strider! Nice to see you again! I love land line phones! I know what you mean, Sath! When cell phones first became really popular here, my parents decided to give up our land line connection (which we had for around 20 years) and get 2 cell phone connections, in order to keep up with the times. We didn't have a land line for nearly 8 years and then just about a month ago, our internet service provider came out with an attractive offer for a land line + internet combo and we just couldn't resist! I hardly use my cell phone now (but I have decided to retain my cell phone connection, just for emergency purposes, just in case something happens to the land line connection and of course, as an instrument of contact when I’m out). I have started giving everyone my land line number along with my cell and when people ask how come I have a land line in this day and age, I just shrug and say "Well, I guess I’ve gone old school”. Goodbye battery failures. Goodbye muffled and breaking voices. Goodbye to unnecessary trips to the balcony just to decipher what the person on the other end is trying to say! Hello clarity and hello privacy! Yes, cell phones are a part of our lives but that doesn't mean that land lines and cell phones cannot co-exist! Anyway, here is something for Old School Saturday! Presenting my land line phone. The instrument is 16 years old (works like a charm even today! ). Our land line connection itself is only about a month old. We had another phone instrument which is 18 years old but unfortunately, it just refused to work! Luckily, our internet company allowed us to use our own phone rather than a phone provided by the company itself. A lot of internet companies here, force customers to buy and use phones manufactured by the said internet company at exorbitant prices! Edited for a font size problem
  2. Another TV theme tune that I would like to add (can't believe I didn't post this earlier!), is one of my all time favourites. Makes me think of a great man we lost, fairly recently!
  3. I hope reality TV is accepted on this thread. I didn't like "The Apprentice" very much but I truly loved the theme tune, which is a classic!
  4. Happy Birthday! 16 is indeed a special age! Hope you have a rockin' birthday!
  5. For some reason the TV theme tune for "The Pink Panther Show" has been stuck in my head today! The 60's and 70's sure produced some groovy TV theme tunes! And does anyone remember Cool Cat?
  6. Adding to the Dastardly and Muttley theme tune posted, I also love the theme tune of a mini-segment that accompanied every "Dastardly and Muttley" episode. The segment was called "Magnificent Muttley". Sadly, I couldn't find a video on YT that had just the theme tune, so I settled for a vid which contained a full episode: And who can forget this laugh :
  7. Awesome TV theme tunes there, guys! Almost forgot about these!
  8. Mr. Bean anyone? I also love "Desperate Housewives" I guess it's a girl thing!
  9. Don't forget Merrie Melodies, Strider! I was initially a bit hesitant to post the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies theme tunes since they weren't exactly TV shows per se, but these tunes are so iconic and are definitely worth an honourary mention! And here is Daffy's rendition
  10. One of the grooviest theme tunes ever! And this one is one of my favourite TV theme tunes from the 21st century:
  11. So do I, Strider! These shows are classics! Ahhh!! I was just about to post the "Stop The Pigeon" theme tune! Another classic! Oh and folks, forget about Kung Fu Panda and meet an original Kung Fu hero
  12. ^^^Awww...Sath! There is nothing to be embarrassed about!! Full House was a really lovely family comedy! Those who can't understand that, are really missing out! I did hear about "Fuller House". I wish the storyline hadn't made D.J a widow, though! But anyway, I am very interested in seeing this spin-off series! Pretty exciting if you ask me! Here is another show whose theme I really love and is one of my all time favourites from the UK: And yes, I love the Smurfs And Scooby Doo Top Cat!

  14. Edited to add : I was about to add the theme songs of "The Flintstones" and "The Jetsons" but since Strider has got it covered, I refrained from posting those.
  15. And who can forget this?! And this : I also love this
  16. As a kid of the 90's, this show is one of my all time favourites! Thanks for posting, Sath! Also, here are 2 other shows that I practically grew up watching in the 90's, which I love even to this day! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLisEEwYZvw You can strangle me now, Strider! I also really loved the theme of this late 80's / early 90's cartoon :
