  1. HERE I COME TO SAVE THE DAY! :P

  2. I took time to listen to Black Nights In San Francisco aka Live at Fillmore East 1970 bootleg, and it was pretty great. I even managed to get their famous 1975 bootleg, but I haven't listened yet.
  3. Last thing I bought was some vinyls that I didn't pay a cent for. Thank you gift certificates.
  4. It's a joke, yeah, but I still think that some elitists would prefer something like Gerogerigege to The Beat Alls. Didn't finish my sentence, lol. I meant to say that they would prefer said shit over the latter, but it's insane, because even though it's a matter of opinion, I scratch my head when they say the Beatles are unlistenable when they listen to harsh noise.
  5. Added ya on Facebook, Mona.

  6. I was quite glad I got Free as a Bird. Everybody I know says it's ok, I love it to death.
  7. At least that's what I hear is the opinion of some people who would prefer noise over The Beatles and call the latter "unlistenable"
  8. Still hold the title for most overrated band ever. They're no where NEAR as good as Throbbing Gristle.
  9. People who hate Concerto for Group and Orchestra by Purple, I have two words for you. Fuck you.
  10. Possible. And good. You can give Bright Eyes a try. They're good, some don't like them, but they're pretty cool. You'll need to get "I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning." Here's a song from it.
  11. Oh, well all right. There's a lot of obvious choices, such as Delaney and Bonnie (even though they're a bit hard to find,) they're not bad on the blues rock, the Steve Miller Band's early stuff is some great blues rock stuff before they went pop/rock (but still in the same essence of blues rock). I'll give ya a band and it's leader to listen to; Ten Years After. Excellent underrated blues rock and Alvin Lee is a beast on the guitar. Most of the time, people would recommend A Space In Time, but you should get either Sssh or Cricklewood Green. And if you like those, get Live at Fillmore East 1970, and Recorded Live. Boz Scaggs' self titled debut is excellent, Duane Allman plays on the longest song and it's a great album. You can also give Taste and it's guitarist Rory Gallagher a shot. Taste is a bit like ballsy blues rock before it got that way later on. Johnny Winter is obvious for blues rock, he's got edge, but I've only heard so much. There's a touch of experimental edge that comes with (the) Soft Machine, as they are (to me) the best of the Canterbury scene bands of the late 60s early 70s. Their first 3 albums are mindblowing, and when Kevin Ayers left after their debut he made some good psychedelic stuff. Joy of a Toy is the usual starting point for Kevin as well as "Whatevershebringswesing". Also, Captain Beefheart and Frank Zappa are the greats of experimental. Get We Were Only In It For the Money for Frank and if you like more, get Apostrophe(') and he has lots of other great stuff, and for Beefheart? Get Safe as Milk, and if you want avant garde, get Trout Mask Replica. That's it for now.
  12. What exactly is it that you're looking for? There's a lot I can recommend, but I don't know would suit your palette.
  13. Yeah, Ween is great. Chocolate & Cheese is quite something. White Pepper is probably their rockiest while 12 Golden Country Greats is my favorite by them. The Pod is messed up, big time.
  14. I actually listened to the Richard D. James album by Aphex Twin and it was actually pretty good. I enjoy my electronic but it was different. I recommend it.
  15. There was a member who used to come here who almost practically worships them. She left for some reason, I don't know why. Anyways, they're great blues rock which is probably why I might dig them more than The White Stripes. I think their best is Thickfreakness and Rubber Factory. I though their new one was good but I noticed that it was done in a studio and has a better sound, but I've come to like the original raw sound more so I don't really like Attack and Release that much as others.
  16. I know a bit about it, I will only be limited to that since I don't have an abundance of money to visit it. I wish I could travel like the rest of you.
  17. You were in a place I don't know of? You look nice, Noora.
  18. The first 30 seconds of "And You And I" are some of the most beautiful I've ever heard and I felt like shedding a few tears to it.
  19. Ever seen Yojimbo? If not, get to it, man! I can't stand Will Ferrall, he is a very unfunny man, but I took the time to watch Stranger Than Fiction and it was pretty good.
  20. I'm sure there's a bootleg somewhere that I can find of that show. And until I find it Machine Gun on Band of Gypsys is the best version...
  21. Trilogy isn't underrated, Love Beach is! But seriously, I don't think Trilogy is underrated at all. If anything, I think Black Moon is, same goes for Works 1. Works 2 is kinda forgettable.
  22. Got your "fucking" internet working? Must be a new kind of internet. I think just me being out on the deck today listening to Days of Future Passed was what made me happy.
  23. Ugh, I'd hate myself all day for waking up that late.
