  1. Yay!! Great weather makes all the difference, enjoy!
  2. ^^^ I love salmon, don't think I've ever had it pan fried. In the mood to cook chicken and sausage gumbo. Takes me two days to make, so better find something else to eat tonight.
  3. Rest in Peace, Liesl. I always loved the sparkle in her eyes, the beautiful look of young love.
  4. I gained a new appreciation for their talents when I saw TSRTS (and other live footage). To witness the connection made between musicians and to watch them play with such passion and at lightning speed is a beautiful and impressive sight. The fact that they are all gorgeous is a nice bonus!!
  5. To hear them is one thing (a glorious one thing), but to see them...wow!!! I was hooked after TSRTS.
  6. ELO at the Hollywood Bowl, 9-9-16. The night opened with a lovely classical set by the Hollywood Bowl orchestra, who would also back ELO for the evening. 19,000 exuberant fans, and Jeff Lynne sounding as good as ever. Watching the concert with my son and forum friend, Strider, priceless. A couple of my favorites from the night. The fireworks finale was pretty cool, too. That violin
  7. While the days are still brutal, the mornings are starting to hint that fall is near. 77 degrees F and a gentle breeze feels nice this morning.
  8. I ordered the BBC Sessions (errr...last night) on U.S. Amazon and just looked in my music library and its there. Looking forward to giving it a good listen.
  9. Sully. i wasn't expecting to get so emotional, although the reality of the miracle that occurred is pretty intense. I did not remember (or realize) that the NTSB folks were such jerks. That was upsetting. Sully was the right man to handle that situation, not sure anyone else could have done it. And he seems like such a nice guy, too.
  10. Just got home from an amazing trip to California with my son. Full of gorgeous weather, yummy food, great music and a ton of special memories. Including meeting Strider. Strider, I am thankful that my special weekend shares some of the same great moments as your special weekend. How cool is that! I will be reflecting on this weekend for some time.
  11. Yes, Jimmy Sakurai is Mr. Jimmy from Japan, I believe he joined Led Zepagain in 2013. He is a beast on the guitar, a treat to watch. The fact that he is playing LZ music is a bonus. Live versions at that! I'm so glad we got to see them, it doesn't look like they will be coming to Mississippi any time soon (I tried!). Get the Led Out does a great job recreating the studio versions, and they have multiple guitarists to recreate the overdubs. I've enjoyed seeing them twice, but I must say that the live versions were very impressive. Is the Led Zeppelin Experience Jason Bonham's show (JBLZE)? I enjoyed that as well. It was pretty cool to see home videos and to hear Jason speak a lot to the crowd.
  12. Pre-show dining included this beautiful tres leches.
  13. Have a great trip, CP! I'm hoping you get to enjoy some lovely weather. Yesterday, I visited Long Beach, California, where I was born. Enjoyed yummy clams with a view of the gorgeous harbor. Today, a quick tour of the Las Vegas strip, ending with the Michael Jackson ONE show. Tomorrow, homeward bound.
  14. The Led Zepagain show was outstanding!! Held in The Rose, an intimate venue in Pasadena. They played live versions of songs from the 1977 tour. I've seen other tribute bands that were very good, but none that played live versions, so this one was extra special. I was blown away by each member of the band, they busted tail for the full two hours. Many of my favorites were performed, including Ten Years Gone, In My Time of Dying, SIBLY, and Achilles Last Stand. From the start, they killed it with TSRTS, I could not take my eyes off of he guitarist, Jimmy Sakurai! They also rocked the house with Kashmir, the drums were insane. Bravo to the entire band, I would love to see them again.
  15. I didn't realize you had box seats...wow!! So glad you got to go back, and to see the show with your friend who had never seen ELO made It extra special!
  16. Strider and Kiwi, I'm loving the California mood music this morning...great stuff! Such a special place, it's no wonder it is the inspiration for so many great songs.
  17. Wow, what a gem!!! When I reach old Los Angeles, Californy, you oughta heard me jump and shout...
