Race 5 at Saratoga one again we have a Led Zeppelin named horse. Dyer Maker is 12-1 and is a first time maiden. Meaning only workouts are available and this is the first race ever run by this young horse and I would guess the owner is a big Zeppelin fan. Oh yes, I am using him in the Pick 4 that starts in race 2. I hit the first one of the season. I am going to Del Mar in SD in August

Thanks but I am not into those girlie drinks. I am not into Becks any more. But its ok on tap. I do not understand this craze for IPA beer? And I know, we are not on the Bier thread. Someone needs to resurrect it. I tell you the old Coors from Co was great. It was far different. No preservatives. Just like when we had the old Gennesse Brewery here. Its from Colorado. I am sure somewhere in Colorado they have some special reserve of the old stuff that had no preservatives. It was great back then until they ruined it. It does suck now. But they had the stuff without the preservatives then. And now I am sure in Colorado a few with connections can get the old stuff. It was a great beer then. So what is good now out there? Certainly not Sierra Nevada? I cant stand the Pale Ale. Its too bitter. If i want bitter I will go with Becks.

Ah yes I forgot about security. Quite the hassle. And its a Thurs, at least I hope Two days in Vegas I hope I get a good car. There is a sports book and poker rooms right at my hotel. Yikes. Anyway, I hope to come back to Baltimore one of these years. For sure

Same here in upstate NY. Hey Esther, I will be at the Baltimore International Airport on August 4th en route to Vegas. If you are in the area stop in for a drink. I think around noonish? I have to check. Two hours in Baltimore. Wish I had time to visit the harbor again. I really had a blast there. And at that restaurant. i look forward to trying the beer out west. I want to see if the Coors out there is like it was in the old days? I mean, better out there than the crap they send us?

Lets just play the devil's advocate here. How many great bands have not been inspired and borrowed instrumental idea' from other bands? Clapton used music from LedBelly and many more examples can be put forward. So if Jimmy used a few notes, there is plenty of song left to Stairway. All the words and the lead and the rest were stolen? I think not. This is pure shit.

No matter how it turns out in a court of law, which I have little respect for anyway, Stairway to Heaven will alway be a Led Zeppelin song to me and my favorite song. I do not imagine anyone playing it like Jimmy and Robert and i have heard some decent covers of it over the years. It belongs to them and to the ages. It is the best rock anthem ever made

Its enough to drag Robert and Jimmy half was across the world into a court room that will be a circus atmosphere no doubt. I just hope its tossed. This band was not going to create Stairway to Haven, no way.

Happy birthday to all of the members I have missed. I am not good at keeping track of B days and that includes my own. I dread the ones that are coming. Even though they are just a number. I a a summer baby, July 30, as hot as it gets. But my parents should have stayed in California and who knows how my life would have turned out? I am returning there, where I lived when I was 4 yrs of age. Rodando Beach and Hermosa. A walk down memory lane. And then the drive of a life time. The PCH and I am going to take it through Carmel and Monterrey. All the way to Frisco. I am going to go over the GG bridge so that I can say I have done it. If time permits. And if Vegas does not kill me first.

Wow, no triple crown fans here? Anyway, this horse Nyqvist that won the Kentucky Derby, for those that had no clue, is going to be tough in the shorter Preakness being he is a front running type. Tactical speed to say the least. Never lost besides. I think he wins and likely gets his shot in the mile and a half Belmont. But that could be dicey. Remember one thing, though we had to wait 37 years for a Triple Crown winner, the last time we had one, Seattle Slew and Affirmed won back to back

Hey Paul, I cannot find any of our old messages or figure out how to use this new format. I was just wondering if you are still watching the soaps? Crazy shit huh? If you are watching? Jake/Billy has his memory back, and Victor is in jail and the baby running around with Sharon is not hers. I think it sucks they killed off Sage. Likely for contract or maybe she just wanted out. Some actors do not want to get locked into soaps.
Have you ever watched Prison Break? If not, I suggest you start from season 1 and watch all four seasons in like 4 days on Netflix. Its great. Really great. And season 5 is on the way. I am seriously thinking of a trip out West and if so, going to catch the Orioles in SF. I would love that. My team is on the coast and plays all of the West coast teams. SD, Dodgers, SF and that is rare. Oakland of course is not rare. They may not go back for 12 years? Never know. It is going to cost but i want to do it while I can. I do not care what it costs. I am always going to have bills. But try asking a woman into that. Big game for your boys tonight. They really fucked me in Colorado. I would have won like $300 if they won the game before DeGroms.

Are you kidding? Huge beyond imagination! Some Led Zeppelin cover band is playing here at the Lilac festival towards the end of the festival. A yearly festival in Rochester, NY called the 'Lilac Festival" in the Flower city which Rochester has as it nickname. I think its "Get the Led Out". I will likely not attend as its not the real thing.

I doubt this will happen again in our lifetime. The Leafs are getting better and maybe they will be better than Montreal for the first time in ages? Vancouver is in rebuild mode and I see the Sedin's leaving this off season? We know Edmonton is on the rise with McDavd and I say they are the most likely to break through next year.
