  1. Yes, Orlando has been added. It is a very small theatre not far from where I work. However, my son has a flag football game from 7:30-8:30 that night and I'm the coach!! So, what time does the show actually begin, anybody know? The venue says 8:00, and I can get there by 9:00, and it will go no later than 11:00 - according to the venue also...... I must see this show!!! If anyone has time info. from the other nights, please advise me! Peace.
  2. I ended up going directly to their website and found them - thanks for the information! I had been waiting for a ticket alert - should have just checked with everyone here.
  3. Just saw this post after the last, no sign of Clearwater on the ticketmaster website either - I'll keep checking though.....
  4. I have been checking ticketmaster and they have no record of an Orlando show at all - just J'ville. Thank you for the info., I will check into that.
  5. Roger Waters - The Wall - Tampa, on November 16.
  6. Only Jacksonville for the state of Florida - what's up with that?!? Oh well.......
  7. Happy almost birthday! Miss seeing your posts (haven't seen you around in a while). Peace.

  8. Listening to "The Rain Song" from the TSRTS soundtrack - newer version.
  9. Yeah, will do. I have had their greatest hits (Gold and Platnum?) since I was a kid. Recently I picked a 3-disc compilation that has some outtakes, live versions, etc. on it at a used cd outlet. But, I should just get the entire collection - as you said there are only 5 studio albums anyway. Looking forward to it - thanks for the suggestions guys!
  10. Never have heard Mississippi Kid before - liking it a lot though. I will have to pick up their catalog and check out more of their stuff! I definitely dig their stripped down bluesy sound on that song.
  11. I didn't know it was released post-crash. I grew up in the middle of upstate New York and never even saw a Confederate flag until my first trip to the Daytona 500 in 1980! I am not doubting what you are saying at all, just what my personal experience was. It wasn't' until we moved to Florida that I realized how big of a band Skynyrd was - really just about at the same level as Zeppelin down in these parts. Thanks for cluing me in on those facts. You always have something interesting to add, Jahfin.
  12. My Skynyrd collection isn't that extensive, so I guess I will need to add more to it. Swede, what I meant by more obscure is basically the songs that our American radio hasn't played to death. They seem to play the same 10 songs or so from them. I really love the way Ronnie tells a story within the songs and how the music really sets the mood. I didn't live in the south when I was young, so I wasn't as exposed to their music as people born in the south were. Needle and the Spoon is also a big favorite of mine Type O. I heard an interview with Artimus Pyle many years ago when he spoke about his first hand knowledge of the crash - what an absolute tragedy. Hard to believe we lost so many great musicians within a decades time.......
  13. This is too ironic that I just put my self-made LS greatest hits disc in my vehicle this past weekend and now this thread resurfaced - great stuff!! What is your favorite more obscure song of theirs? The Ballad Of Curtis Lowe is one of my favs, for sure!
  14. I had the exact experience on that tour here in Orlando. Plus they played a lot of slow songs (after opening with 4-5 up tempo songs) and put everyone to sleep. I saw them in '91 in St. Pete, with Soundgarden, and that was an average show and then again a few days later in Miami for a New Year's Eve show. Axl was on the edge, emotionally, that night but the show was pure magic! So, you never knew what you were going to get..... I never took the chance on them again after that Orlando debacle though.
  15. On The Turning Away - Pink Floyd
  16. Dead End Friends - Them Crooked Vultures
  17. ALL The King's Horses - The Firm
  18. For Those About To ROCK, We Salute You - AC/DC (one of the greatest rock anthems ever!!)
  19. Was listening to the 25th, 1977 show last night on the porch! Great show! I am planning on beginning the marathon June 27, 1977 show tonight - didn't mean to steal any of your thunder Deborah! Keep up the great info.!
  20. Don't Wanna See Your Face No More - John Butler Trio
  21. Yes, Animals was a Waters album too. But the songs were worked on by the Floyd for a couple of years, during concerts, before being put on an album. So in writing credits it was all Waters (except for Dogs with Dave), but you can tell the music is more a band effort as Pink Floyd than The Wall or The Final Cut ever were. Just my opinion. Got my tickets for the 16th of November @ Tampa.
  22. Of course Gilmour wouldn't want to work with Waters - look how he was treated. Plus "The Wall" is basically a Water's album anyway. I am very much looking forward to seeing this show in November. I have seen the Floyd (w/o Waters) a few times and this will be my first experience with Roger. Perfect opportunity to see him!
  23. Xavier Rudd and Izintaba - Koonyum Sun
