  1. Just read where the Cowboys have freed up $13 mil in cap space with restructuring Romo's salary. That makes the Peterson case way more plausible. I still don't know if it's smart, but it could signify that they are in to win at all costs! AP would cement big things for this season. You never know though....
  2. Too expensive, IMO. But then again you never know. I think they want the kid out of Boise St. in the 2nd round. Get him for 4 years at the rookie rate, then let him go. Romo said he'd taken a pay cut to keep Murray, but I really don't think the Cowboys wanted to make that commitment to a guy who has missed games in 6 of the last 8 years, including college, and had over 500 touches this past year (finishing with a broken hand). I think that's smart, given the draft depth at rb and the long term financial ramifications. I like what they are doing on the defensive side, so far. Need to get a stud DT in the 1st round to solidify that front four and there are two that could be there for the taking!
  3. Listen to the BBC recordings if anyone thinks Jimmy is/was a sloppy player!
  4. jabe, Rolando re-signed with Dallas today, after receiving an offer from NE on Monday. He is facing a 4-game fine (not suspension) for a failed drug test. The Cowboys linebacker starters appear to be RoMac in the middle, Sean Lee on the weak side, and Hutchins on the strong side. If they can stay healthy, that's a strong crew. Along with an improved d-line, that should make the secondary look much better. Now to find a running back.....
  5. ^ That's why I taped the shows I did.
  6. Not in this corporate world, LIVIN. And yes, I'm sure we've met before. In all due time....welcome to the forum, btw. Love it when people have creative, thematic member names and avatars.

  8. The "media" is owned by corporations who want to turn a profit. Reporting "the facts" is a very subjective proposition. Btw, LIVIN, you certainly remind me of someone...haven't we met somewhere before?
  9. Yeah, the F1 race was very intriguing. Hamilton should be pissed at his team for putting on the hard tires on his last stop. In the NASCAR world, my boy Harvick is going his 9th straight top-2. Right now he's 3rd with 60 to go....

    3 in a Row

One of my personal 3 in a rows (because they came out in my early teen years) are: Blizzard Of Oz/Diary Of A Madman/Speak Of The Devil (which really introduced me to the Sabbath catalog). Still play those discs and relive those memories.
  11. Playing the song the exact same way night after night is boring, at least to me. Clapton and Gilmour both became that way later in their careers. Gilmour has loosened up a little bit, but Clapton doesn't seem to deviate much anymore. That's why I love Page. You never know what you'll get. Plus his guitar tone is second to none, IMO.

I want to throw in.... Appetite For Destruction/Lies/Use Your Illusion - I know that's technically 4, but 'Lies' was an ep.
  13. Welcome backside, Paul!
  14. I used to hit one similar to that - just with t. chicken, mushrooms, and rice. I tried to get there as often as possible and would sometimes go 30 min out of my way to get some takeout for Mrs. Walter and I.
  15. It's not offensive, just redundant. I say get everything that's new - even the companion discs ksgemini - they sound great and it's the last time Jimmy Page will be doing this personally.
  16. Yeah, one lady who works at our local grocery is a Dallas football fan, as am I, and we always talk about the previous week's game. Other join in to give us some crap or just talk football with us. He son is actually a local high school top notch player and I made it a point to watch him when the playoffs were on the tv this past November. It all started because she saw my hat and remembered my son. Funny how that stuff happens a lot. Back to focus on the good manners out there. We were in the Bahamas this past week at a resort (where self-entitlement easily could've ruled the day) and all of the kids wanted to hold the doors for everyone, saying "excuse me" when their tube bumped into us incidentally while on the lazy river water rides, and "thank you" when they were helped. So obviously good manners are being instilled by their parents and gladly displayed by the children. It's like this site. If we let the jerk-offs rule it, with their constant trolling, then this place wouldn't have the quality people and posts it does. They keep coming back time and time again, with new names, but the same jerk-off attitudes.
  17. That's strange. Did he use it before or after for OtHaFA ever again? He did use that guitar a lot while recording Presence, I believe.
  18. Lewis Hamilton wins the pole in Malaysia. Ferrari gets p2 ahead of Rosberg. The 17 year-old starts 6th. Impressive!
  19. Dude, you've posted at least 50 times in various threads that you can't hear much of a difference, can't afford the new releases, and/or think the whole project is just a money grab. 6 out of 22 posts in this thread alone. We get it, you're on the record. End of rant.
  20. Great post, Kiwi! I worked in the hospitality industry for a number of years while in high school and college. Being generally kind to others is part of my overall attitude. My wife is always blown away when she goes to our usual local grocery store or take out restaurant in my place and they treat her like royalty because she is my wife and the know me well. It's not like I'm in there kissing ass, just being pleasant and friendly to them and they remember my name when I call in an order or immediately recognize my face when I walk in. It's just about treating others as you would want to be treated. Remember "the golden rule"? I don't do it for those favors, just that I remember being on the other side of the counter.
