  1. Chris, Chris, Chris....your reading comprehension has reached an all-time low. Time to go back to 3rd grade. Maybe your daddy could read "The Giving Tree" to you at night to help with inference. What apparently was obvious to Strider and ebk, but not to you, was the statement you made which basically said if your team didn't win for a long period of time (such as the Cubs), you would look for another team to follow, like a child. That's called being a front runner. Here's the Reader's Digest version for the dimwitted: It's easy to root for a team who's in it every year, but a true fan sticks with their team regardless. Fan is short for fanatic, and a person who is a fanatic doesn't leave their team if they have a drought in championships. Loyalty is part of what makes a man's character. Kinda like not bringing in a man's wife in a disagreement. That's being a little bitch. . ....as if there was any wonder why you have no one to go to Las Vegas with... This was my response to your last personal attack against me in this thread. So if you could not comprehend that I have a wife, while you have nobody (for obvious reasons), I understand. I guess that's another example of your deficit in reading comprehension and overall dimwittedness.
  2. Or even focusing on getting the musicians themselves in the picture apparently. Thank you for that information, Strider. I don't have any experience with 8 mm cameras.
  3. Thanks for that footage! What's the story behind it? Was it really recorded in those fragments or is that the best of what survived? How did you get the video equipment in? Thanks again for sharing!
  4. Now there's a real fan everybody!
  5. Of course no harm, no foul. I really enjoy your input when it comes to VH - you, once again, were at the right place at the right time seeing another legendary band in their prime. Doesn't matter if it rains, there is cover where we will be. It's a very high ceiling, so the wind blows through there very well. You know, a modern day amphitheater. Not so lucky for the lawn seat sitters though and it's in September which is still the rainy season here. Walter Jr. will not be at this show. He's not a huge VH fan. I will take him the next time Plant comes around though. He has only seen U2 thus far, as concerts go. Thanks for posting the Greensboro show, I'll be checking that out soon!
  6. Jack White being called new, but classic, is perfect. Jack White is fusing so many musical influences, when the current climate doesn't really allow for that kind of expression. Robert Plant would be honored to work with JW and has said such as recent as 2014. I don't think anyone who admires another musicians' "buccaneer spirit" is thinking, "been there, done that". Jack's most recent disc is truly genius.

Forgot to comment on what an extraordinary round of golf Jordan Spieth played today! Simply amazing to watch a 21 year old do that to Augusta National. The kid is the real deal! Next rivalry, Rory vs Jordan!

I googled him and he's 75, same age as my father-in-law, who used to play against him. Believe me, it's just as amazing but I hoped Jack hadn't gotten that old that quick. Glad he still participates in the opening tournament threesome and also the par 3 tourney - which is where he made the hole in one. His grandson is FSU tight end Nick O'Leary. Could be a huge month for the family with this and Nick being drafted into the NFL later this month!

Haven't seen an early leaderboard at all - taping the round when it comes on ESPN at 3. The "usuals" who play well at Augusta: Rory Kuchar Bubba and Jordan Spieth - played well there last year and is playing about the best on tour. Dark horses (if there are any): Sergio Freddy Couples Looking forward to it tonight - the course looked fantastic yesterday!

Lots going on in Rochester to be mobbed for a soap opera guy!
  11. Do I have dillusions that VH is the '81 VH, no way. The music sounded great to me and Eddie is still Eddie. Would I pay 175 - HELL NO! That was my point and now you are saying they are charging 280 out in Hollywood to see them? People must have f.you money to burn to pay that. We got a reasonably priced ticket at a mid-size outdoor venue - which they haven't played in years here in FL. I certainly don't think Dave is anywhere near the frontman he was and I was very critical of him the last time we saw them 3 years ago. It will be a fun night, IMO, with a lot of crowd singing and great guitar work. The Kimmel performance was good for Runnin' With The Devil - Panama has never sounded good live to me, for whatever reason, and no matter who was singing it.

Yes he did and it was actually his first hole in one ever at Augusta - which boggles the mind, after all of the success he's had there. Is Jack really 80?

Masters start tomorrow. Any takers? Rory is going for the career slam....Tiger making another comeback....Jordan Spieth has finished 1,2,2 in his last 3 tournies - who will it be???
  14. 2-0 Cubs....I guess they won't go 0-162 like people were acting two days ago!
  15. Go to the TIMELINE section of this website and look up May 4, 1973 - that's when they started the NA tour and Atlanta was the first date.
  16. That comment came after about 4 double shots of Kraken... I should've included this though -
  17. OMFG! I would so put a tongue up there, if....I wasn't already married! GREAT pic, Paul!
  18. Glad for you, ebk. How are the Yanks doing....has the season even started yet?
  19. If Coda is released on its own, without anything "new", it will be a huge flop - sales wise - and a horrific ending to this magickal ride we've been on since last year!
  20. When The World Was Young - Page/Plant
  21. Around The World - Red Hot Chili Peppers
