Ron Guidry - 1978 - (25-3) 1.74 ERA, 16 CG and 9 SO. 248 K’s in 273 innings pitched. All in the face of Reggie/Billy Martin....Bob Lemon, etc Plus winning the one game playoff in Boston on limited rest. I ran home from elementary school to watch that one. Greatest pitching season ever.

Great combination of amateur and professional video in this version. Unbelievable night with Alice In Chains opening, at Tiger Stadium. Saw the original Smashing Pumpkins line up the next night with Garbage opening. Epic weekend. I gotta believe SAJ was at this historic show. I’ll have to find my backstage pass and post it.

I think Detroit got the better end, except for absorbing Goff’s over priced contract. They have a lot of rebuilding to do and now have some early picks to work with. Who am I kidding they’re a mess. LA, as usual, are playing for right now. That’s how they made the SB. Boom or bust. Jr doesn’t like Stafford coming to the NFC West though....
