  1. Saints are putting together a nice opening drive! Graham took a big hit early, don't know if that'll be a problem for them later....FUMBLE - 49'ers got it! Oh man....
  2. ^^What did our mama's teach us?...if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all! I agree with the two comments about BAAM, very nice pic. especially considering it was taken with an iPhone! Peace.
  3. It was very brutal, plus the padding was nonexistent. Today it is about what happens to brain with those spectacular hits the players take. Plus guys are playing at such a young age taking so many hits to the head over the duration of their playing years. I remember one shot I took back in high school that rocked my world - made the mistake of looking up for the ball on a punt coverage play....saw some serious stars and had a headache after. I can't even imagine how it feels to take the hits they do in major college ball and in the pros! Those early years of the NFL, and after the merge, were lawless though!
  4. And he never did! Ah, the good ole days...... I still say Favre tried to squeeze the ball in there too often to be considered even better than Rodgers is right now. However, for Rodgers' career to be better he will need longevity - like Farve had (or a sh!t load of Super Bowl rings!).
  5. I'd take Rodgers in his prime over Favre. Favre was always good for some picks, when it cost him most, in big games. That's why he only won one Super Bowl - close many times though!
  6. I guess God must have had bye weeks the last 3 games of the season!
  7. Of course they do - they have what 8 potential scoring options!?! Doesn't mean they'll score as much on a slow trek like SF has. Like I said, they have a great O-line which will give Brees that extra 1/2 second to make decisions.....which is HUGE! I think that gives them an advantage over all - what they do with it is up to them! Remember Seattle!
  8. London - 12/10/07 - in honour of Jimmy's birthday yesterday! Video - 3rd Eye
  9. Plus the giants secondary can be a little lazy at times, especially with injuries.
  10. ^ yes and no, the giants didn't look that great back in 08...but they they have the parts to get through - good running game, great receivers and an underrated pass rush/defensive line. Those are solid foundations - and they didn't have them all in place until now. The major weakness is offensive line - which is what the Saints have and may be the difference in taking them all the way!
  11. I think the potential blow out is the Patriots v. Broncos. After such an emotional win against the Steelers, I believe Denver will come out flat and be out of the game by halftime. Baltimore v. Houston will be a defensive struggle with the Ravens winning by about 10. Giants v. Packers is a tough one to figure out. The Giants have everything needed to go far, I think their defensive line will control the Packers banged up offensive line. But, the Packers should pull it out by a touchdown. 49'ers v. Saints, I agree with Strider - Candlestick is a tough place to play, especially in January. I think the 49'ers will win by 3, with Akers being a big part of the win - along with their great defense. No bets for me, never! Can't enjoy the games with money riding on it, so I don't partake. Enjoy the great weekend games ahead everyone!!
  12. Happy Birthday Jimmy! Hope you have a great day and thank you for all you have given to us!!
  13. But what about the show at the Boston Tea Party club back in '69???
  14. Will do! Later you can hear the basic riff from "Mean Street" in "Poundcake". I saw the Van Hagar version and it was very forgettable! He was a buffoon! Wolfie was laying down some nice bass lines in that song....can't wait to hear "Tattoo" next week.
  15. I like the groove of that song, Major Major! Definitely sounds like some great classic VH rock 'n roll!! Can't wait to see them again in April when they come through town.....
  16. Not any worse than Seattle last year and look what they were able to accomplish. You never know, that's why they play the game.
  17. You know Sammy isn't going to say ANYTHING good about DLR/VH. Who knows what this will sound like, but they were very good when I saw them on the '07 reunion tour! Way better than the VanHagar version, IMO. I hope they pop into Stern's studio while in NY!
  18. Yeah, they lost to Buffalo after all!
  19. ^ Agreed! Good voice, but nothing that hasn't been out there before.....not that I hate her, just don't find anything all that special about her talent. Plus she apparently can't tour for very long without blowing out her voice anyway.
  20. Well, Ross is also a friend of Jimmy's - so you can't go by that!
  21. Happy Birthday JPJ!! I hope you have a fantastic day and thank you for all you have given to us!! I agree with Strider, he is/was Zeppelin's "secret weapon" - one of the most underrated musicians of the last 50 years......amazing!
  22. I have found many of RS fans to be very pompous. Who the fuck brings cabbages to a concert anyway? Back to the thread - LOVE Prince! Saw him back in '84 at the Carrier Dome - which was simulcast to Europe - and then again in '99 in Tampa. The first clip of him posted is one of my favorite musical moments of all-time. Amazing solo!!
  23. ^He came across the same way during his interview on That Metal Show..., IMO.
