My first Page and Plant show was May 20th 1995 in San Jose. Awesome show, I have a radio bootleg of that performance that was given out to stations. I got 2 of them, I opened and played 1, kept the other in its sleeve thinking it would be valuable some day. The funny thing about that show, had amazing seats right behind page and the stage. Robert called San Jose “ San Juan “ and was booed for it. It a funny joking way as if you don’t know where you are at. Robert and Jimmy being my 2 favorite musicians alive I gave Robert a pass. My Pops, who had been at the April 69 shows at the Filmore with my Mom was with me. It was my name day a couple days before. What an amazing show. I remember being tripped out that they were doing Shake My Tree. Robert crushed the performance of that song and show. I remember waiting on line at Tower Record store in Mountain View all night to get tickets. That experience alone is amazing and something that we will never see again. And I personally think that it’s sucks that we won’t. It was part of the experience. I digress, an amazing show, and by 98, they were on fire, specifically Jimmy. He was out of this world, I purchased as many bootlegs from that time period as possible, in the range of 20-30, and Jimmy from 96 on was just at another level. Maybe some of the dexterity was gone, or speed? Perhaps, but his chops, progressions, fluidity, imagination, experience was on full display. I have some shows from 96-98, and his playing has brought me to tears on a couple of the occasions. I also have been very angry at Robert for calling it a day during that period. They were getting better. Kind of a prick to do that. Amazing performance, and my how the time flies by. Reminds me that I’m getting old.

I appreciate the answer. I don’t agree with it at all, but certainly your insight, knowledge, and understanding of how all governments work I can appreciate. It would have to have been on such a global scale that I can’t personally wrap my head around it. It isn’t just the Supreme courts, it is all the courts, 60 of them. All of the agencies that protect our country, heads of other states, secret service, FBI which is absolutely Republican leaning as an establishment and has been for years or more accurate since the beginning. I have been a massive zeppelin fan since the late 80’s early 90’s. I spent over 7-10 years collecting bootlegs all over Cali, and every state I visited, sorry to give me street cred, but what makes you so sure that these concerts weren’t multi tracked. I have reasons for thinking that that were not, but I also have hope that they were, I guess my question and point is why are you so sure, other then the obvious, that it was never released. I guess that is as good a place to start as any. But we know that there are shows that certainly were that have not been released by the band for whatever reason. I would like to say that I am in no way being combative, I would just like to hear your opinion, or anyones opinion that is in the know of the band. As a side note, I have been putting together all of my bootlegs, video tapes, Album bootlegs and I will be posting them to see if I have anything that is rare or not really out there and would love for someone to have it and be able to make copies. I may ask for some help of some of the older group or the people who are in the world of unreleased live stuff to help me out with it. But I have a treasure of bootlegs that I would want people to have and for copies to be made and for it to be available for all. Thank you for taking the time to read and or answer this post.

Just a question, why did over 60 court cases, the Supreme Court which is heavily conservative, the AG who was hand picked, all of the heads of all of the conservative security apparatus in our country say that it was the safest election we had ever had in our history. I’m not asking this to be a Jack ass or to insist on an argument. But if the Conservative administration, with all of his hand picked judges, all of his court appointments, and beyond that, the actual Supreme Court of the United States said that it was absolutely safe and that every bullshit case brought before them never once was proven to be unsecured. The other question I have, is in every case that was brought before any court, they never once said that there was fraud. So meaning that TFG and his lawyers never at anytime in any case said that there was fraud of any sort. I understand the article put forth I’m not so sure about the actual validity of it. I guess I would ask, has this been verified by a non partisan group. If it hasn’t, and it isn’t part of anything other than a blog or something off of Breitbart/Brightshit or something else I have a hard time with it. I understand you work for a college, that is amazing and thank you for your work. Having said that, my Mother-in Law is PHD organic Chemist at Stanford who teaches there as well. And this type of thinking is certainly something I am familiar with as she lives with me and we discuss her school and the kids that attend her classes and school. But why did Rudy, or any of the other number of lawyers ever bring up anything that was of substance. As a matter of fact, when they were asked under oath, they each and every time had to say that they had no facts to back up any of the crazy shit that they were saying, just as they do not know now with respect to the classified material that TFG was in possession of. You are absolutely correct about the Rosanne Barr connection. Growing up watching and evening at the improv, or the number of comedy specials we could get back in the early and mid 80’s, she was as funny as it gets. Not to mention being beautiful. RIP Judy.

Are we talking about the Led Zeppelin/Classic Rock reaction videos. I apologize if not. I will say there are a few that I have found and I have been pleasantly surprised on the reaction and thought that they have put into it. What I do like about them, I think it is helping to get other cultures, as well as a generation of kids young adults who otherwise would not have been into this type of music and or Zeppelin. There are a few that I really enjoy watching their reactions to Zeppelin specifically. There is a vocal coach who has done a few, she is absolutely gorgeous, and her thoughts on Robert and his abilities are pretty cool to watch and listen too. My daughter who is a singer has recently got into the reaction videos and has had some cool things to say about Robert and his styles and gifts as a singer. I have to remind her that these guys are the most talented musicians to have ever graced a stage or studio. She is catching on. Be well Strider.

Hello Paul, as a life long A’s fan, as well as a baseball fan, I think your Mets are going to get hot down the stretch. They have dealt with some injuries that other teams may have not been able to rebound or play as well through. I will say this team reminds me of some of the mid to late 80’s Mets teams as well as just really good consistent teams of that era. Great pitching, Bullpen is pretty tough. A very balanced lineup, with a good amount of Pop/power. But a lot of athletes throughout your team. Starters as well as bench/roll players. Then again, what the hell do I know, however, I can see this team getting hot in the playoffs, and with the arms that you guys can run out in a 7 game series, man they will be tough. The Braves are deep, and talented, as are the Dodgers, I personally think some teams are built for the season, and some are absolutely built for the playoffs. I think your Mets stack up well with any team in the Senior Circuit. Which, the National league is an absolute beast this year. The amount of really good teams is impressive. As an A’s fan that does not have any skin in the game, but you have a few of my favorite players from our last 4 year run, I would certainly like to see the Mets do some damage this year. Also, I know this is a few days late as they indeed did get swept, but this team is exciting. Good luck the rest of the way. If you do meet up with the Dodgers, I hope you guys crush em.

Hello Mr. Strider. I’ve been trying to find the other tour threads. Perhaps my search skills are not what they should be. I would like to again just let you know how incredible the description of these shows are. Not blowing smoke 💨 up your A$$, you honestly might want to think about putting these recollections/memories/journaled thoughts into a book. I’ve read as many books as I could about Led Zeppelin, solo efforts etc. To be very honest your writing skills, the nuances, the details are just absolutely amazing. Im going to try and search for your other concert threads again, I believe you may have said you were going to expand on another run of concerts. If that has happened already I will certainly want to find that, if it has not, myself and a host of other people are really looking forward to it. Thanks again for the brilliant thread. This is such a nostalgic show for me. It was one of the first 5-10 bootlegs I had purchased. Having purchased Plays Pure Blues, various other 69 through 72 shows when I got to this one, it was a show that made me realize the growth of the band, as well as my own mortality as well as theirs, and the decline of their prowess. I know that sounds slightly to perhaps very overboard and maybe overblown. By the way, I personally find this show to be good. Maybe even very good. Having listened to this show again tonight on the CD I purchased back in the early/mid 90’s it made me think of Robert in particular, and how he went from the intensity of this band and performance, to maybe a year and a half later. The change in direction and intensity from this to Robbie Blunt and co. it is a big contrast. I’m sorry to derail the thread, but I can’t help but think of the colossal change in that man’s life in and around this time. It makes me sad for him, certainly Jimmy, JPJ, and the family [ Led Zeppelin ] that was broken apart as a result of the passing of the greatest drummer ever, and a man that was so dearly beloved. I’ve read through the replies and posts, and again as a life long Zeppelin fan I am beyond blown away that you have found this group of people who like myself are very dedicated to the band, and all that comes with that. It’s an intense fandom. Again, I would just simply like to say thank you for somehow finding this space, giving us your recollections of the night and your experience. It’s amazing to say the least.
