  1. Wish they would just go ahead and release a dvd of it. R
  2. Yep. i'm with you (Led Zep IV) is the first choice (if Eagle Rock will ever get rights to produce a DVD). R
  3. ... all of the Classic Album specials they are running here in the states are edited versions of the DVD releases from Eagle Rock Entertainment. currently, there has not been a Led Zeppelin DVD produced by them, so no Led Zep documentary from the Eagle Rock people (who pay for the rock "infomercial" of sorts. VH1 Classic has been running the 2 and a half hour Led Zeppelin live (concert footage from the 2003 dvd set) and they have previously aired, TSRTS, as well as the Robert Plant (Nine Lives boxed set) interview from last fall (when it was released) and a Rock Autisim commercial featuring Plant (that was taped the same time the Nine Lives interviews took place at Plant's home in England (with Eddie Trunk). Too bad Eddie Trunk is no longer working for VH1 Classic. They got rid of him and Lynne Hoffman about a year ago and replaced them with Mark Goodman (old VJ from the original MTV days). He's boring and doesn't know nearly as much about music as Eddie Trunk (DJ ) and Lynn Hoffman (who has been on A&E Presents as host to an hour music special that interviews rock bands and artists (they also play some new and classic cuts in the studio). A&E and Biography Channels (owned by same company) also air the Led Zeppelin Biography special (not vary regularly though). Maybe once a year (if that). Live from Abbey Road is another program (that runs on Sundance Channel here in the US). They run weekly episodes with 3 artists/ bands per program. Examples : David Gilmour, Iron Maiden, Dave Matthews have all appeared on this past season. Robert Plant and Alison Krauss did appear around Valentine's Day and a few weeks afterwards on CMT (Country Music Television) on their Crossroads special (1 hour show). It hasn't aired in 6 or so weeks. Waiting for it to re-air some time (hopefully soon, so I can record it)... until (hopefully, it will be a DVD release at some point). I'm still waiting for the 2002 Austin City Limits Robert Plant show to be released officially (but I guess it's not going to happen). R
  4. kewel!!! Thankz, y'all. (that was me speaking southern) R
  5. Thank you, Sun Child!!! The focus of the whole evening was Ahmet and they did play "For Your Life" for the first time (just for him). R
  6. Led Zeppelin (of course) Beatles Hendrix Stones Yes (older) Genesis (Peter Gabriel era) RUSH The Police U2 (older stuff) Queen Clapton The Cream Crowded House Deep Purple Eric Johnson ZZ Top Santana Pink Floyd R
  7. "For Your Life: A Tribute to Ahmet Ertegun" http://www.ahmettribute.com/ R
  8. I collect "original" concert programmes (no reproductions). I've got a few Zeppelin ones and most of their solo tours (Live Aid, Plant, Jones, Bonham Jr., Page & Plant, Page & The Crowes, Coverdale-Page). R
  9. knowing now that Page, JPJ and Jason got together last week to jam, it is very exciting to think about the possibilities (perhaps some songs and/or ideas from the vault) that Page brings to the table (to include Bonzo in a song or two) maybe with Jason playing along with his dad on a song or two (like Nat King Cole with his daughter, Natalie). These are the things dreams are made of. We'll wait and see what transpires. I'll put any "new" Jimmy, JPJ and Jason meeting/gathering stuff to those threads. R
  10. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id...questid=1870742 I looked online at their webste (didn't see anything there). I'll go to several stores around here to see if I can find anything in their music/dvd section. Thanks, R
  11. Was it listed as an "import"???... , because I found a Queen 1985 final live in Japan "import" there, too (and it's not been "officially" released here in the states). R
  12. ... or he could call it a "Jimmy Page" solo record with special guests: Robert Plant, JPJ, Jason Bonham and a few other surprises (with pre-recorded Bonzo material like the Beatles did with "Free As A Bird" in their anthology set years ago) , The Black Crowes, Clapton, Jeff Beck, Eric Johnson, and who knows who else???. This might actually work better to get Plant in to do some studio work with the rest of the "members" of Zeppelin. He'd feel more comfortable doing that as he's done stuff in the studio with Page for the Sun Sessions project and a few other things in the last few years or so. From there, let's just see if they would take it out on the road (as this could spawn some other "opportunities and one-offs".) I think if Page just pressed Plant to do a reunion tour or album under the Zeppelin name, it wouldn't have much of a positive outcome (as Plant has stated that he doesn't want to look back much)... R
  13. ... I remember Page and the Crowes cancelled part of their tour as Jimmy hurt his back in 2000/ 2001. I had 2nd row tickets and passes to see them here in Atlanta. They never rescheduled it. R
  14. I think Clapton may have acquired the '58 Explorer from Jeff Carlisi (.38 Special) or another private collector, who is from here in Atlanta. Jeff's got a few rare Explorers. I'll check and see if I can get confirmation. R
  15. Plant always liked Queen's music (he performed at the Freddie Mercury Tribute concert in April of 1992 (and in an interview, he said Brian's guitar playing as well as Freddie's voice were instantly recognizable). He sang a medley of Queen and Zeppelin at the Tribute: "Innuendo" including words from "Kashmir"/"Thank You"/ "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" R
  16. It looked something like this: http://gc.guitarcenter.com/guitars/jimmy-page-les-paul/ http://guitarplayer.wordpress.com/2008/02/...by-first-image/ R
  17. Cornell doesn't have any tour dates right now: http://www.ticketmaster.com/artist/768162/...m_header_search It'd be the best thing for all of them right now (until another one off or something with Plant). Page, Jones and Jason want to play... Question is: would Chris Cornell do it if asked and would the others ask him? R
  18. ... News Update, this just in... Robert Plant to tour with Yoko Ono (immediately after his tour with Alison Krauss). April Fools!!!! R
  19. ... Remember Kingdom Clone??? .... I remember Ozzy did a songs called, "Led Clones" with Gary Moore on lead guitar. That was cool. R
  20. I think Page used the amp during the Crowes tour in 199/2000. R
  21. ... Robert will probably do some Samba or Brazillian gypsy jazz music next (we'll see)... R
  22. How about something new??? .... until another reunion show.. Page, Jones, Bonham and Chris Cornell (doing new material, some Cornell solo things, Zep classics and maybe a Soundgarden thing or two)... R
  23. You never know what the future brings.... There's always later this year and next year. Maybe this time apart from Zeppelin will inspire Page, Jones and Bonham to write new material (whether separately or together). R
