I just spoke with Alan (Light) a few minutes ago to ask him a few more questions about his Esquire magazine interview w/ JP. Here’s what I asked him: 1) Did Jimmy mention anything about releasing a companion Anthology (audio: cd, vinyl, digital)? Nothing specific, but Jimmy did say he’s working on a few projects. 2) How did Jimmy sound to you on the phone regarding his well being since Covid? He seemed upbeat and in good spirits. After breakfast, he plays guitar everyday. He’s been reading a lot and playing guitar a good bit regularly. 3) Did he mention whether he’s playing electric or acoustic? He only mentioned playing guitar daily and writing / creating new music daily. Per the article: Nothing earthshaking but enjoying the creative process even to this day. 4) Did Jimmy mention anything else regarding the Led Zeppelin documentary? He said his portion/segments have all been shot/recorded. Nothing else to say without giving away anything until it’s released (which has been delayed due to Covid). 5) Do you (Alan) record your interviews and if so, would there be an opportunity for them to be heard somewhere? All / most previous / old interviews that were at length were recorded on audio cassettes like the Nina Simone interviews (which have been given and/or loaned to the RNRHOF museum in Cleveland, Ohio. 6) Would your Jimmy Page interview be available possibly as a podcast in the future? Sirius XM now does podcasts and could release them, but each one is a rights issue and Sirius XM would have to get their attorneys involved to get clearances if they were to be publicly released. I thanked him for his time and answering my questions regarding his interview. R😎
