If I were still playing the point spread game, Philly being a 1.5 dog against the Packers would be very tempting. Pittsburgh is a 3 point favorite against the Bills, what say ye Rick?

Paul, will you participate in a 2500 point, wide open sportsbook thread when the playoffs begin?

Obviously you must be aware that Flynn used to be the back-up in Green Bay and led the team to victories when he had to step in and be the starter - that's why he signed a big contract with Seattle last year - then was cut, then was cut by Oakland, then by Buffalo.... So that's why he and Green Bay are being linked. Personally, I don't know how you can have a back-up through training camp and the first half of the season and he is not the guy you're gonna go with in an injury situation. Wallace wasn't prepared for Chicago due to a lack of reps - he should be prepared for Philly, given a week to practice with the 1st team offense. I remember when Romo had a broken collar bone, he was out about a month. So Green Bay had better hold on, only 5 wins in their pocket is not a guarantee to make the playoffs and not much time when he comes back. Detroit and Chicago fans must be elated with the prospect of having a 2 or 3 game lead over Green Bay, possibly, going into December.

If I wasn't, I am now...it does make sense from that perspective. Although, like you, I feel Seneca Wallace should be allowed to show what he can do with a full week of reps with the first teamers.

Yes. :yesnod:

Cool! We can get input from others if we want to tweak some things.

(I don't know if Rick has shot his point wad or has a pocketful left. If I'm standing alone, bear with me, cause I might take crazy wagers until I clean up or wipe out.)

Still 7 weeks to go in the season.

That's what's wild, Strider.

When the sportsbook thread started, I figured folks would play close to the vest, conservatively, and open up more toward the end of the season, as this was a contest not only againt each other, but ourselves as well.

I thought if someone could turn 1000 points to 2000 points at seasons end, that would probably win it. I didn't think people's points would drain away so quick. It's easy to see how Vegas stays alive and running.

The foreskins still have some tough games coming up too! Sucks to have a first place schedule.....unlike last year's 3-6 start, they can't feast on crappy teams this year to get back into it. Daniel Snyder will not fire Shanahan, IMO.

I'm predicting that Suh gets a hold of Cutler right around the middle of the 2nd quarter, and then we shall see him no more. As for the game itself, I wouldn't bet a dime on the Lions when they are outside playing on grass.

Went to the Lions vs. Bengals game 3 weeks ago. $9 bucks for a 16 oz beer at Ford Field....highest price in the NFL. I don't even know what to say about that.

Before the season started, the Lions had the toughest schedule in the NFL. Now we're half way thru and they have the easiest schedule left. We might even win a 4 team division for the 2nd time in 20 years, and Thanksgiving against the Pack should actually be something to watch. In Mathew we trust.

I'm not feeling very confident about my Eagles pick. Nick Foles can look like a Hall of Famer against scrubs like Tampa and Oakland, then he can have games like he had against Dallas. Which Foles will show up Sunday & will Seneca Wallace be better now that's he's had a whole week of practice with the other starters.

The way my picks have been going, Green Bay will probably hammer them...

Beating Green Bay in their house is no easy task no matter who is QB. But its hard to take them with the guy they are going with and just look at my Bills. With the two good QB's they played great. You put Tuel in and he blows the KC game. i just have to think Green Bay will not be able to shut down that offense enough. But its a coin toss. The Raiders can make anyone look great
