paul carruthers
It's easy to say this now, but I get the feeling all these cold weather games are going to be low scoring affairs & the Eagles just missed the field goal...

paul carruthers
^^ Yes potted, dem Saints may be making a lot of us eat our words. Still a lot of time left though, so I'm not going to make the mistake of calling the game too early again (remember the Colts)...

paul carruthers
Well, whatever happens, this has been a very good opening day for the playoffs. Hope tomorrow can match this...

Heartbreaking loss's for the losers. I say Cincy wins but the precipitation worries me. There will be 100 % chance says the weatherman. Rain would be better than snow for the Chargers. I cannot see them winning in the snow. Oh, Al Micheals said New Orleans goes to Seattle? No matter what happens in Green Bay? Love Seattle
paul carruthers
Congrats potted. Dem Saints won a road game, now the question will be, can they do it again? Rick, you know how I feel about Cincy & something tells me San Diego will be in the driver's seat tomorrow.

Strider
Congratulations to your Saints, pottedplant! You and I were the only ones with the guts to take New Orleans on the road! Wild Card Weekend got off to a wild start all right. Looking forward to see if tomorrow's games can top today's. Also looking forward to another Ice Bowl in Green Bay...temps supposed to be 30 below zero. Mike is happy too. I always remember when he flattened that idiot who ran on the field. http://www.mikecurtisfootball.com/ No he's not. Mike Curtis was a BALTIMORE COLT. You can bet he was not happy the Colts bolted to Indianapolis like thieves in the night.
pottedplant
Thanks Strider!!! Today's games should be exciting as well. I guess you and I are 2-0 going Into today's games
paul carruthers
A lot riding on this early game today: if the Bengals win, they play at New England; if the Chargers win they go to the Broncos. And as I said before, I don't think the Colts are sweating Denver or New England....

paul carruthers
Congrats also to in_the_evening and Mrs. Walter who also had the Saints. I'm wondering if I'm alone in picking the Chargers? Check that, I see Bong-Man also has the Chargers. Will Marvin Lewis prove us wrong today?
Walter
^ She always picks the playoffs better than I do! Congrats to all you Saints fans out there, I'm so glad you kicked Philly's asses right out of the playoffs last night!!!

in_the_evening
Those were some ridiculously competitive games last night, and I have to agree with LZFan77, those losses were heartbreaking for the losers. The losers have nothing to be ashamed of, they played their hearts out and it could have gone either way towards the end of both. But KC came out of the locker room locking cocky, got the score right away aftervthe half making it 38-10, and they started celebrating. Meanwhile, a guy with a really bad beard started carving them up while they weren't looking.... Green Bay may be warm today, might be 4 degrees F. paul carruthers
I'm kind of rooting for a Green Bay/Denver Super Bowl matchup. A rematch of the greatest Super Bowl game I've seen; Brett Favre vs. John Elway, remember that....
