I found the movie average at best.

The Spock character was good and the sexual tension between Spock and Uhuru was unexpected.

John Cho of Harold and Kumar fame was passable as Sulu The Gay Blade.

Captain Kirk, McCoy, Scottie and Chekov- Jim Carey imitations at best.

Captain/Admiral Pike was an old episode still unreolved.

The movie was predictable and just an hour and a half big screen TV episode.

Ripped off to many scenes from much better movies to count. From Thelma and Louise to Terminator.

On my scale of cheesiness

0. Limburger, a real stinker

1. Velveeta, fluffy and artificial, pre-packaged

2. Cheddar, average

3. Brie, creamie and good consistency

4. Clemson Blue Cheese, the best

I give it a 1.5

I think I saw that first trailer, with all the welding sparks and no real solid subject (just Lenoard Nimoy giving the introduction), back last year on the web.

The funny hand thing with the Vulcan's and Romulan's in the first show, it's no telling really what and how that came about. I've seen some interview's with some of the cast asking about the acting methods that was answered with, "some day's we would come to the set with only half a script and we just had to improvise some of the scenes". This was dew to the very low budget allotted to the show at that time.

Roddenberry was trying to portray a morality type issue with people and coping with the vast varieties in everyone by using all these alien being's to portray the echoing issues of the time's (in his time's).

As spoken by Leonard Nimoy on the Late Show with David Letterman

[10]Warp factor 8! Arby's closes in ten minutes

[9]We're entering a breach in the space-time continuum or a wormhole or some crazy crap like that

[8]Set phasers to fabulous!

[7]Welcome aboard the Starship Enterprise -- today's in-flight movie is "Big Momma's House 2"

[6]We've been hijacked by Somali Pirates

[5]Sir, I'm going to need Saturday off to attend my nephew's Bar Mitzvah

[4]My baby-daddy is a Vulcan -- on the next "Maury"

[3]The Enterprise just hit a goose -- we're gonna have to land in the Hudson

[2]Live long, prosper, and keep on hangin' and bangin'

[1]I find your choice of a hairpiece highly illogical

Well Boo Hoo on your opinion ! !

I find YOUR taste in bands (J Geils, S Dan, Foghat) to be completely cheesy !!!!!

Ha Ha HA HA HA !!!

I`m sorry I hurt your feelings Rover Boy with my honest opinion of this waste of celluiod.

Now Rover, roll over and let me rub your tummy, make it all better.

I lied, I loved the movie, beam me back to the cinema, Scottie.

I did like the Thelma and Louise scene - too funny. The movie is better when seen twice.

It was ok when JTK went skate borad ninja and stoled the vintage Sting Ray, but on a side note, another thing I didn`t like was the 15 minute explanation of James Tiberuis Kirk`s birth rights before the opening credits.

I think the next time I see it twice will be on late night cable.

LOVE the cheese scale!

L 7 thinks he has ruffled a few flight feather with an opinion.

Its not easy being cheesy and perhaps L 7 should develop a bread scale, because they took my bread at the box office.

L 7 thinks Star Trek was the best thing since sliced bread.

In honor of cheesiness L 7 changes his avatar to Chester the Cheetos Cheetah

I thought it was very good. And you appreciate it more if you know the history of Star Trek.

The other summer movie previews, suuuuccccccked. Im not expecting anything better than this really. Terminator Salvation and that shitastic Transformers will be the other big ones. I doubt I will like them better though.
