  1. The Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd In the Wee Small Hours - Frank Sinatra Kind of Blue - Miles Davis Blonde on Blonde - Bob Dylan The Joshua Tree - U2 A Love Supreme - John Coltrane Paul's Boutique - Beastie Boys Sea Change - Beck Stripped - Christina Aguilera (Yes, you read this correctly. It's a damn good album.) A Hard Day's Night - The Beatles I almost put "1" by The Beatles at #10, as it's all their US and UK #1 singles, but I thought a compilation might be cheating.
  2. I love, love, love Beck. I've seen him live a few times, and they were immensely enjoyable shows. Morning Phase was stunning and absolutely deserved the Grammy for Album of the Year, and Hyperspace, his most recent album, is fantastic. I heard someone call him this generation's David Bowie, and I think that's a pretty damn good compliment.
  3. I'm didn't read through all four pages of this thread, but this picture has always jumped out at me as one of the best band photos I've seen. Now, if we're talking about Led Zeppelin on stage, this is one of my favorites: It's hard to find good pictures of all four them on stage. Photographers tended to focus on Page/Plant, and to a lesser extent, Page/Plant/Jones.
  4. Nothing at the moment, but I had leftover pork roast and mashed potatoes for lunch about two hours ago. I am however drinking a Diet Dr. Pepper with a lot of ice.
  5. I just hope the unvaccinated idiots on the Packers don't cause an outbreak like we're seeing in Cleveland and other places. We've got enough players sitting out because of injury that is stretching our lines thin. We don't need it made worse.
  6. Unseasonable for this time of year, but I'm not complaining. Not often I can wear capri pants and no coat a week before Christmas. As you can see, the cold front is moving through this weekend, and temps will get back down to normal.
  7. Jimmy Page would approve of that, then and now. 😂 🤣
  8. She's got a lot of health issues, but as my dad likes to say...she's a tough old broad. A lot of people younger than her would have given up or packed it in by now, but she's not ready to quit annoying us. LOL
  9. I absolutely love it, but that's the only good song they did when Michael McDonald took over. He neutered them, much in the same way Peter Cetera neutered Chicago when he took over. They went from a hard rock group to a yacht rock group, and while I don't hate yacht rock, it's not what I want to hear from a band that did "China Grove," "Long Train Running," and "Take Me In Your Arms (Rock Me a Little While)".
  10. One of my favorite Christmas songs probably isn't strictly a Christmas song, but the opening line does reference coming home for the holidays, so we're allowing it.
  11. My mom is currently in the hospital, and finding out she's doing a lot better has taken a load off my mind. Also, tomorrow is Friday which means donuts for breakfast, and that never fails to perk me up a little.
  12. Well, if the Packers beat the Ravens this Sunday or the Bears beat the Vikings, the Packers will lock up the NFC North. I'd rather not have to rely on either the Bears or the Vikings to get the job done, so, let's just hope our Special Teams don't shit the bed as badly as they did last Sunday.
  13. Not sure why it's saying it's Cloudy here, the sun has been shining all morning. 🤷🏻‍♀️
  14. That Chiefs game was ridiculously winnable if Rodgers played. KC played like hot garbage, and the only reason the score wasn't more lopsided was because neither team could capitalize on the other's mistakes. However, even if he'd been vaccinated, he'd have had to miss the game, so the outcome would have been the same either way. So, that loss isn't on Rodgers as much as it on the whole team for not taking advantage of a weak opponent. The New Orleans game in Week 1, and the Vikings game before the bye are the losses that sting the worse. New Orleans because the team didn't even bother to show up for it, and Minnesota because that's a division rival. Green Bay does have the tiebreaker over Tampa because of conference record. The Packers have only lost two conference games (Minnesota, New Orleans), whereas Tampa has lost three.
  15. If the MVP was truly given to the most valuable player in the league, Rodgers would win because without him, the Packers are garbage. That, to me, is the textbook definition of "valuable." He is quite literally irreplaceable. You can put another QB behind center, but he won't come close to filling his cleats. However, that's not how or why the award is given out, and Brady's numbers are better, even though both teams have the same record. Also, Aaron's COVID stupidity will probably cost him with the writers that vote for the award, and while that shouldn't be, as it has nothing to do with his on-the-field talent/achievements, it is.
  16. Not watching really, more like listening, and it's our local Spectrum News channel.
