Yes, yes I can. As much as I love the band, part of loving something is accepting when it's over. The tribute concert for Ahmet was amazing, and what I've seen/heard of the show is fantastic. But that was a one-off, not a tour and it's extremely unlikely that it'll ever be repeated. So it's time to let it go.

I just got a message on Myspace from a close friend I had back in grammar school, someone I haven't spoken to since we graduated in 1996. That's damn near 13 years. Now that was nice. Funny enough, just a couple days ago I was looking at some pictures from our graduation as I was going through some boxes in our storage area. Talk about serendipity.

Quite simple.....my computer finally working. It crashed a couple days ago and I had to call tech support and have them talk me through re-installing the OS and all the drivers. Took 2 damn hours, but now it's 85% back what it was before. I just need to re-download a shitload of music.

For God's sake, of course if he was hitting a bong while driving a school bus full of children, that would be a major fucking issue. But he wasn't. And there's no actual indication that he ever will. So what's your point? The ingestion of any kind of intoxicant while operating a motor vehicle is a big problem, be it weed or alcohol. No one should be driving while under the influence. Period. But again, he wasn't driving or even anywhere near schoolkids.

In theory, you're correct. If he wants to smoke crack or shoot up heroin, it's his body, let him do with it what he pleases. My point was that getting caught smoking pot is not nearly as "ZOMG WON'T SOMEBODY THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!11!!1" as say.....if he was photographed tying his arm off and sticking a needle in it. There's degrees of stupidity here. I think the outrage would have been more justifiable if it was crack or heroin, though. Those are hardcore street drugs.

No, I agree. It was dumb of him to be photographed doing it. But the almost pathetic moral outrage over Michael Phelps smoking pot at all is what makes me laugh. It's almost like people can't believe a rich, 20-something athlete who just won 8 gold medals in one Olympic games would EVER do something that might not be that intelligent.

Gee, talk about jumping to conclusions. I don't know why Madonna is not performing. Maybe she's not nominated. Maybe she wasn't asked. Who knows, who cares. Madonna stopped being relevant about 20 years ago.

I honestly can't believe anyone cares. I don't smoke pot and frankly, don't ever care to, but what's the big deal here? It's not like they caught him smoking crack or shooting up heroin in a dark alley. It's weed, for God's sake. Athletes are NOT role models. They're rich people paid to play a sport or perform an activity at an elite level. Most of them don't even have college degrees. If you think kids should look up to people like this for life lessons, you're sorely mistaken.

Well, this is a biased question on its face. Who here of all places would turn down the chance to see Led Zeppelin? However, since that band is not going on tour.....more than likely ever again, I'd actually see Plant and Krauss since there's a better than good chance it'll happen. That's like asking PF fans who they'd rather see on tour. David Gilmour, Roger Waters or Roger, David and Nick with someone else on keys? Of course we want to see the three of them get back on stage, if at least to honor Rick Wright, but we all know it won't happen. Live8 was the swan song and it was a success. So, that's that.

I stopped listening to terrestrial radio a long time ago. I have a couple online radio stations from SkyFM I listen to, (Classic Rock & 70s), and they play Zeppelin, just not as often. I did hear The Ocean, Kashmir and Whole Lotta Love in the last week. They don't seem to overplay any one artist, which is good.

While we don't share the same taste in music (with a couple exceptions), I 100% agree with this post. Liking Led Zeppelin for me, doesn't mean not being able to listen to anything else. I have everything from Sarah Brightman to Pink Floyd to Mariah Carey to The Doors in my catalog, and I'm glad I have a diverse selection of music to listen to. Shit would get boring if the only band I listed to ever was just Led Zeppelin. They're great, but I need variety.

My laptop crashed last night. So now I have to wait for the recovery disk and drivers disk to get here so that tech support can call me tomorrow and talk me through reinstalling everything. Fortunately I didn't lose much in the way of music, as I had most of it transferred to my iPod when I got it. I can just take it off my iPod and put it back on my hard drive at a later date. It's just so infuriating.

If he had done album tracks only the die-hards would have heard of, the show would have sucked. Sure it would have been nice to hear songs you don't usually hear from them, but unfortunately they weren't playing to their touring audience, they were playing to a national/world-wide audience. They had to do songs they knew everyone would know. I don't fault them for that, hell.....Tom Petty did the same thing last year. Refugee, Free Fallin', Runnin' Down a Dream....those aren't exactly obscure either.

I loved his slide across the stage where his crotch took out the camera. Hard to believe he's my dad's age when you see him do stunts like that.
