  1. Hi Magic! I got into "Witchcraft" (the band responsible for these awesome songs) in the first place thanks to Swede and Rock N' Rolling Man! Those two have excellent music tastes! This forum has taught me to become open minded too and go beyond 60's and 70's stuff! And yep! "The Alchemist" is one hell of an awesome album! You should get it and I recommend "Firewood" too! These are albums by this really cool Swedish band "Witchcraft".
  2. As always, you cheer me up! :D Thank you, sweetheart! :D It feels good to just get away from it all and have some online fun, for a change! ;)

  3. Thanks for posting that! That was one hell of a funny scene on "The Vicar of Dibley"
  4. After 4 months of literally waiting in agony, I FINALLY managed to purchase these : I've given both the albums a couple of spins and while both are just great, I prefer "The Alchemist" to "Firewood". I guess (to me) it's because the guitar riffs are deadlier, the lyrics are even creepier and the Sabbath influence is more profound on "The Alchemist" in comparison to "Firewood". Here are some of my favourite songs from "The Alchemist" : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-PYEMyyAd_Q http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDE-zsOH9tU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCDUc07ptKM
  5. Hi Rachel. I've been having an extremely horrid week so far! I feel so angry! My family has been swindled to such an extent, that it is shocking! I'll give you all the sordid details in an email soon! Anyway, hope you had a nice time at Yorkshire.

  6. You're very welcome! :D Hope you're feeling better, today :)

  7. Hey! :D Thank you so much for the friend request! Cheers! :D

  8. Hi! :D Wishing you a very happy birthday! :D I do hope you're feeling better now and can enjoy your birthday without being ill! Do, take care of yourself, ok? Cheers! :D

  9. Magic, I managed to watch the two vids you posted on the "Make Me Laugh" thread despite my internet service provider! OMG!! I especially loved the second vid. I didn't know Hitler could cook! LOL! :D Thank you so much for posting that! That was so funny!!! :D

  10. That happens to be my favourite song by "Yes"
  11. Now, this is more my kinda nun!
  12. Well, I personally recommend the debut album of The Baker Gurvitz Army. The songs to look out for in particular are : "Help Me", "Love Is", "Memory Lane" and "Inside Of Me". The rest of the album is quite good too but these are the stand-outs. The second album "Hearts On Fire" was a bit of a disappointment for me. A lot of the songs on that album resembles disco. Don't get me wrong. I do like a bit of disco but I think Ginger Baker went a bit too far with it! The songs, I like are "My Mind Is Healing" and "Hearts On Fire". Yes, just the two! Emma Jane, my sincere advice to you is save your money and buy ONLY the debut album. Stay away from "Hearts On Fire" (if "Disco Rock" irritates you, that is). Just my two cents!
  13. Hi Fool, Yep! I think you should! It will indeed be a lovely addition to your music collection!
  14. Thank you, Fool! It is indeed lovely to listen to old classics again (in the company of my mom) like "Mrs. Robinson", "The Boxer", " The Sounds Of Silence", "Bridge Over Troubled Water" and "Scarborough Fair". Brings back lots of awesome childhood memories, for me!
  15. I forgot to mention this lovely compilation album I got for my mom a few days ago! It was worth every penny seeing the look of joy on her face! And besides, I love this album too!
  16. Hi Danny That is one awesome purchase there! Your wife is one lucky lady! My mom really loves that album and as a matter of fact, so do I (we had it in cassette form, years earlier but the sound quality, unfortunately took a turn for the worse )! I think you should give it a listen! I think you'll like what you hear!
  17. Awww....Danny! That old woman who is in the cartoon is a real meanie and I do feel sorry for her poor old husband (whoever he is)! I'm a million percent sure that Misses BIGDAN is in fact a downright sweetie!
  18. The following album costed me NZ $ 36 because it was a freakin' import! But, luckily, money wasn't an objection because I had some second hand text books to sell! Ha! But my parents, don't know, yet of my little transaction
  19. Uh-oh! Looks like this is one angry housewife!
  20. After listening to this song, I would advice you not to mess with the woman whose singing it in the first place! KICK ASS!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJU1KHPRRik
  21. OK, I know for a fact that Disco died a long time ago but this is by far the most ridiculous disco song I've heard in a while! The lyrics are hilarious and so weird! Now this next song is so hilarious that I fell off my chair on hearing it for the first time! I heard a very "tame" version of it on the T.V show "Friends" back in 2004! It is so sleazy that it's laughable! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2J263ow5A4 This is probably "Heavy Metal" at it's worst and possibly silliest!
  22. 1. Sir Donald Bradman (IMHO, the greatest cricketer the world has ever seen!) 2. Black Box Flight Recorder 3. Latex Gloves 4. Xerox Photocopying 5. Pre-paid Postage 6. Refrigeration 7. Electronic Pacemaker 8. The Bionic Ear 9. The Teleprinter 10. Vegemite
