  2. I second everything Walter said! I feel really happy just after reading this thread!! Sending you ally, Strider, Kate, Melanie, LZG and CP, good positive vibes. Cheers to you all!
  3. What made me happy today was discovering a very obscure R& B / Soul music artist from the early 1960's, going by the name Timmy Shaw. His music is very hard to find but thank goodness for itunes and good old Youtube http://youtu.be/M2rl7kVYDE4 Like an old wiseman said "There is so much music to discover out there but sadly, so little time"
  4. ^^Thanks a lot for posting that youtube vid!! All in all, I thought it was a beautiful tribute and I am glad that I actually got to watch it even though I am not from the U.S
  5. I finally got to see this: Yes, I love animated films! Also, I cannot wait to see Kung Fu Panda 3!
  6. Thank you Melanie! That's so sweet of you! And yep! Thanks to Led Zeppelin, my birthday couldn't have been more special!
  7. Magic, what can say? It's been 2 wonderful years since we first met on this forum and you were my first proper friend on here! Thank you for 2 lovely years of friendship! Hope we have many more ahead of us! And yes, I was incredibly stunned and touched that quite a few folks here would remember my birthday! THANK YOU ALL! BTW, you've got PM!
  8. Missy, thank you so much for your lovely words! You are honestly making me blush so much that my face turned as red as a tomato! It was a special birthday Missy since I made it a point to make it a Zep themed one! Thank you for your friendship! Cheers to you!!
  9. Thank you so much reswati! tēnā rawa atu koe
  10. Sean, believe it or not, these last few days have been my laziest! All I seem to be doing is listening to tons of music, watching T.V, eating, taking short walks and sleeping! With Uni work officially over (well, at least for now ) I am on vacation and I am at my laziest! So, don't worry! My days of toiling are over for the moment! I really feel honoured that you of all people are one of my good friends here! Thank you for being there for me and I'm sure you know this by now but I really love receiving your emails and hearing from you! Since it was my 25th, I made it a point to make my birthday a Zep filled one! Trust me, I wouldn't have chosen any other band to celebrate because at this point, I feel such a personal connection to this particular band for some reason! I guess its because of this forum where I am fortunate enough to interract with like minded folks who love Zep as much as I do!! And also, many many happy returns of the day poortom! Hope you're having a blast wherever you are!
  11. Thank you Kate!! I had a really lovely day yesterday. I watched 2 Led Zeppelin DVDs and that was the best part of it all! The first one was a DVD which I didn't even know I had. I found it about a day before while cleaning up the loft! I couldn't believe that my dad had forgotten that he had actually purchased that beauty almost 5 years ago and had never even told me about it! It was the one with the Royal Albert Hall concert of 1970 and the other DVD of course was Celebration Day. I initially thought of playing The Song Remains The Same but I have seen it quite a few times of late, so I decided on the Royal Albert Hall concert instead! Or like they say in Maori tēnā rawa atu koe Many thanks for the birthday song! It really means a lot!
  12. Thank you so much Emily! I sure did!
  13. Classic comedy! http://youtu.be/Gy1ztCTrBEU
  14. Magic, you are perfectly justified for ranting! My friends seem to sadly have the same attitude as the students you mentioned. For them, Economics as a whole seems to only involve solving a couple of math based assignments and not reading a single thing! I do believe that analysis, critical thinking and carrying out proper research (in terms of actually reading up journal articles and reports) is as, if not more important than just working out a bunch of problems (involving calculus and a couple of equations) and then thinking that you know every bloody thing there is to know about Economics! End of rant. I hope your copy of 'Celebration Day' arrives today or at least by tomorrow! On Friday, the 16th of November, I got a very cryptic email from Warner Music NZ, informing me that my package has been despatched to the local courier and that they were actually aiming to deliver the package by the end of the day. I did have some hope that I might get my package on Friday, but of no avail. I FINALLY got it on Monday at around 3 PM and I was rather relieved! Getting back to the topic, tomorrow is the day I get to go grocery shopping! I can't wait!
  15. That happens to be one of the photos I just can't take my eyes off in the Celebration Day package!
  16. Not to be off topic or anything, but personally, I adore writing (be it essays, reports, critical reviews, etc.). My friends at University sometimes look at me in wonder when I rave about this little subject I love called "The History of Econometric Thought". My friends have shied away from this paper deeming it to be "boring" and "outdated". In my opinion, it is certainly fascinating to discover the origin of simple concepts you have previously learnt in high school (as far as Economics is concerned) such as the definition and formula for the elasticity of demand of a commodity. Plus, if you have done a good job on a term paper, you do feel this sense of accomplishment, knowing that you possess the ability to express yourself! Besides, certain skills such as writing and critical thinking are paramount to an individual's growth and development. That's what my mother said a couple of years ago, and well, reflecting back on certain experiences I've had at University these past few years, I do believe that she is right. Anyway, coming back to the topic at hand, I returned a couple of library books today, ran a couple of errands for a loved one and now I am going to be taking out the trash! *Sigh!
  17. This is one of my recent favourites!
  18. Looking forward to seeing this at the local Art Gallery with my dad : http://www.aucklandartgallery.com/who-shot-rock-and-roll
  19. Hi Strider! Awesome seeing a photo of you! I most probably will be posting a photo of myself during my graduation this year taken back in April (if I have the courage to! )
