  1. Yes, Zimmer was always a classy guy with a fire in his belly for baseball. Old school without a doubt and will be missed by the game and people involved in it for sure! RIP Don Zimmer.
  2. Great news! LONG LIVE LED ZEPPELIN!!!
  3. My boxes were waiting for me at the front door last night....checked everything over for any damage, scratches, etc. NOTHING BUT PERFECTION! Seriously, I haven't handled vinyl in a while - these records seem much heavier than I remember, anybody else feel the same way? I thought about showing restraint and going album by album, but Walter Jr. wanted to hear the companion disc for III - so that's where I began last night (with a tall shot of Kraken). That was unbelievable! Next I put in the companion disc for II, awesome as well. Listened to the first three songs of the Paris concert - it sounds so much better than the boot (plus no irritating French DJ in the middle of the songs). Looking forward to going through the hard covered books, press releases, etc. over the next few days. Loved the attention to detail with the wheel in the cover for III, the plastic wrap for the cd's inside the covers, the boxes themselves they came in, everything is first class, IMO. I couldn't be happier with these releases, they are everything I hoped for and more...... Eventually I plan on getting the artwork print framed, for each album, also - but that's down the line.
  4. I - 21383 II - 9723 III - 29770 SuperDave, I also ordered mine the first day so there is no way it was done in order of pre-sale purchase. Awesome sets though!!!
  5. Berkeley '71 is one of the best ever, I agree!
  6. "Freezer" was another good one, just hasn't released the volume of recordings Mike (unwillingly) did.
  7. Except for the 10 game lead Strider has....
  8. Yes he is! I hope things turn out well for Jim Kelly....thoughts and prayers are with him!
  9. ^ My first '73 tour show (outside of TSRTS) and still love it! Great vibe show and performance too! I bought it back in the 80's on the album 'Persistence'.
  10. Yes, I recently obtained a copy of Salt Lake City. Not bad, I prefer Mobile, NO, and Dallas a bit more from May's shows. Too bad the 6/3 LA show has all of those tape issues! Another great Forum show/vibe! I will definitely be on the look out for Providence though!
  11. Unfortunately that's what these world-wide sport competitions have become. Cash grabs for the organizations, politicians, etc. Meanwhile the people's backs whom the money gets made from are in ghettos, enslaved, and will have to mortgage the future to keep paying for the expense for building and future expense for maintaining these other-wise unusable stadiums. Look at what happened to Greece after the 2004 Olympic Games? Brazil is getting a double whammy between the World Cup and then the Oplympics coming up in 2 years....social unrest is rising there, that's for sure!
  12. I have heard it is a great show (Providence) but have never listened to it before....decent recording??? Thanks for all the input so far!
  13. That was AWESOME! Thanks for sharing!
  14. Good for you, glad you can tell the artists who have worked their whole lives on their craft, how they should feel about being recognized.
  15. I watched a story this past weekend about how Brazil built a $270 million stadium in the middle of the Amazon Rainforest for a total of 4 games to be played in. There isn't even any road access to it....
  16. Reverse psychology Paul? Walter Jr. says "Heat in 7". I think Heat in 6.
  17. These guys are playing a small venue here in Orlando next week, should we bother to try to go? Anyone?
  18. Agreed. But since they toured "Animals" way before it was released, I thought that disc was more of a collaboration than the credits revealed. I have enjoyed all of the Floyd albums, personally. Some more than others...
  19. The Song Remains The Same/The Rain Song - LA Forum - May 31, 1973
  20. I am currently listening to the Bonzo's Birthday Party 5/31/73 show and I am wondering, what's the consensus best PERFORMANCE of the '73 N.A. Tour show? I have always loved the SF '73 show, plus many others, but this may be the best performance show of that tour, IMO.
