  1. yeah, I don't know why he revived this relic.....but I'll talk football anywhere - and NASCAR too!
  2. Thank you for that, Strider. How do you feel about their draft and free agency pick ups?
  3. The 'niners made some good moves, IMO. They picked up Stevie Johnson, who has had 3 consecutive 1,000 yard receiving seasons, to go along with Crabtree, Bolden, and Davis - not too shabby. Their draft looked solid, in the first couple of rounds at least.
  4. Sorry to hear about that, Virginia. Hope it works out for you and your kids.
  5. Didn't they pick up a qb from Fresno St.? How do you feel about Stevie Wonder being traded? Better hope Watkins comes through - no 2015 1st rounder for the Bills.
  6. I don't believe they played "Communication Breakdown" 5/24/75, the 25th is when they dropped the "Jamaican Breakdown" as you referred to, with a bit of D'yer Mak'er in the mix....
  7. Josh Gordon looks like he'll be suspended for 1 year, for failing another drug test... Cowboys give up their 3-round pick and exchange 2nd round picks with Washington to get Demarcus Lawrence DE of Boise St. They need more pash rush, but giving up a 3rd round pick is tough!
  8. Stevie Johnson traded from Buffalo to San Francisco...
  9. Hot, Hot, Hot....4th straight day in the 90's - we average 109 days a year in the 90's.
  10. Outstanding LZF!!! Job well done....thank you very much for you talent and effort!
  11. Have fun, ladies! Looking forward to hearing about the events!
  12. I have always read that Robert said this was a one off show all along, because he had committed to the Raising Sand project. So, if anyone had optimism, they weren't listening to what was being said, or thought they could sway Robert with a great performance. Either way, Robert wasn't going to do anything with the others after December 10. He had already made that clear.
  13. ^ Yes that is a very good version, one of my favorites!
  14. Yes, I agree. The '75 series is when I started watching baseball and the '76 playoffs is when I became a Yankee fan - after watching Chris Chambliss hit the homer to beat the KC Royals to make the '76 series (only to get swept by the "big Red machine").
  15. ^ 1975, Reds v. Sox 1976, Reds v. Yankees
  16. LOVE The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, so excited Pagey is gonna be on it! I'm sure The Roots will be playing Zeppelin all night, that will be a bonus treat! They played Misty Mountain Hop with Ann Wilson a month or so ago. It'll be interesting to see how "loosened up" Fallon can make Jimmy. Thanks for the info, I tape it nightly - but it's nice to know that I MUST watch Monday's show!
  17. That's what they are saying at least....I don't put much into what teams say just before the draft. Mind games.
  18. Stairway and Smells were both very influential songs for the 70's and 90's respectively - so I believe they are perfect examples of songs that define the decade they are from. The 80's could be "Born In The USA" with all of the nationalism hoopla that went on during that decade. The 60's....gotta be a Beatles song - maybe "Hey Jude".
  19. I thought the Knebworth video showing the tents, etc. certainly gave a glimpse of what people were doing before the event. Kinda cool. Of course, the '80 footage is awesome. Seeing them on stage is always magical!
  20. I just picked up a copy of this show....it is my next one to pop in a listen to! Currently listening to: No Quarter - May 26, 1973 - Salt Lake City
  21. I thought the same, Strider. Never had heard of him, only Herman.
