  1. ^ We watched it the morning of the 500 - GREAT movie! Well done, Ron Howard! Congratulations to Stewart-Haas Motorsports, Rodney Childers, Kevin Harvick, and the rest of the #4 Budweiser/Jimmy Johns Chevrolet team for a great performance. Worthy of what Dale Earnhardt would call, "that was an ass-whoopin'". Win #1 of hopefully many to come for Kevin at Stewart-Haas! Great anniversary gift for Mr. and Mrs. Walter AND Mrs. Harvick as well!!! :cheer:
  2. Love the U2 song that is nominated. Hadn't heard it until the first Fallon show. I don't usually watch the show but I hope you enjoy it, Strider, and any others watching it!
  3. NASCAR racing from Phoenix International Speedway getting reading to begin on FOX. My boy Harvick has been fastest in both Saturday practices....GO #4!!!
  4. Impressive photos, SAJ! Thanks for sharing, glad you enjoyed the show!
  5. Thanks buddy. Looks to be a great day today!
  6. Thanks guys!!! Going to a Yankees/Astros Spring Training game next Saturday (3/8) and have 3rd row, behind home plate, seats. Walter Jr. has never seen anything like that before! When are you coming down, ebk? Tampa swing, as before???
  7. Received a phone call while at work confirming a massage for tomorrow that I didn't reserve....must be Mrs. Walter planning a nice afternoon for our anniversary! It is in that nanosecond (as Strider put it) between tonight and tomorrow - Leap Year Day - and we will celebrate tomorrow evening with a fine dinner at Ruth's Chris steakhouse. Since it is a Saturday night, it will as close as possible to a "real" anniversary, without being February 29.
  8. ^ Enjoy the round you two! Had the heat on last night, chilly evening in the 40's. Today is spectacular though - sunny and high is to be about 71F. Gorgeous!
  9. ^ +1! Happy Birthday, Aquamarine! Also, while I'm thinking about it..... Happy (early) Birthday to 'Nutrocker', whose birthday is actually on Leap Year Day. Hope you are doing well my Zeppelin brother!
  10. That's quite a crowd, SAJ! Hope you have a great time at the show! Any possibility of EC showing up to play at any of the gigs?

    Jimmy Fallon

Politically correct would be to not run "the history of hip-hop", btw. What 70-something is up watching the "Tonight Show" anyway AND who is the targeted audience? People who aren't on fixed incomes and will buy stuff. Sorry, but you guys are fucked in the head if you think their is some conspiracy. GE is about making $, that's all. If Jay was such a cash cow, he would still be there. Fallon is what they believe will take them to the future for earnings! This shit is unbelievable and you wonder why people won't follow your logic - because it's fucked up!

    Jimmy Fallon

Just finished watching the first week of Fallon's new show and I haven't laughed that much since Johnny hosted it! Haven't watched last night yet, but plan on continuing to tape it nightly. Great stuff!
  13. I understand what you're saying SAJ - but to keep the public identifying with the current band (over the one that is being inducted, which is the original 4) is in fact a ploy to keep selling tickets and continue making a profit. So that explanation by Gene is exactly what I was referring to, it all comes down to money for Gene. One performance to honor the 4 members who are being inducted under the band name KISS is not gonna hurt their current line-up's ability to sell tickets. This is part of the reason they haven't been put in before now, people view them as a hyped up business that makes music - IMO. I hope that Ace and Peter go on stage without the rest of them and rock out with whomever else is there to honor the bands going in this year.
  14. What a joke! As Mrs. Walter said, Gene's probably pissed because he couldn't make a profit from it!
  15. I will be sending you all the positive thoughts I can Rick! I hope the doctors can help your quality of life.
  16. If I may ask, Rick, is there a reason why your hips have deteriorated to the point where you have to have them replace? I remember you telling us that your back was injured at work, was that the start of the hip problems? Take care, bud!
  17. This is news to me. What has happened, luvlz2, to make them decide not to play at the ceremony?
  18. ^ Yep, congratulations to Dale Earnhardt, Jr. for winning his 2nd Daytona 500 last night. He pretty much dominated the 2nd half of the race, which is impressive at a restrictor-plate track. He and his crew chief are in their last season together as Steve Letarte is heading into the announcers booth next season when NBC begins covering NASCAR events again. Great job Junior, I'm sure your dad is smiling down on you today as you begin your media whirlwind tour!
  19. Just received a tweet from DeLana Harvick stating FOX is coming back on the air at 8, and round 2 of the 56th Daytona 500 will go green @ 8:30. Time for some night racin' everyone!!!
  20. ^ Lucky you! That sounds like a fantastic evening, with or without JP.
  21. Getting ready to drop the green flag on the Daytona 500 and the NASCAR regular season! Go #4!!!
  22. I thought we would have one contest for most regular season wins from the combined teams picked and then a separate for the playoffs, once we see who actually gets in? I will make my picks in mid-late March. Good luck everyone!
