  1. He can tag-team with Jeanine Pirro so they both can spew their S&M themed version of legal maters to the rapidly decaying punters out there. All Ben-Gay, Metamucil, and compression sock wearing blue-hairs, screaming their war cry in unison, "what do you mean redlining is illegal!!!!" Watching a Netfix show called Midnight Gospel. Rather bizarre but smoke a nug, sip a nice Rusty Nail and it becomes quite engaging.
  2. Nah, never said that. All I said was if the rest of the developed world can do A, B, & C so can we. It's not rocket science, nor do we need to re-invent the wheel. Hey, if you want a libertarian model of every person for themselves, social Darwinism, everything must be a zero-sum game fine, that's your right. Just as it is my right to question why the average American pays considerably more in taxes (all taxes, not just income) than those Scandinavian countries yet get almost nothing for it (again, talking about your average, working class American) in return. Hmmm, I wonder why that is???
  3. Well, it was how she was killed and where she was found. She was found naked, cut perfectly in half with surgical precision, the two parts posed, the body completely drained of blood and washed. On top of that the killer stuffed flowers (I think it was flowers, could have just been grass) inside her Hoo-Ha, cut her mouth into a jokers smile, and did "other horrible things" to her body as well. The body was found on a vacant lot in a quiet LA residential neighborhood by a young woman out on a walk. About a week later the killer mailed the contents of her purse to the police.
  4. Just wait a few hours and someone on this board will come along and tell you how wrong you are, that your life is actually a dystopian nightmare of which you contributed, and that you are in fact a commie-pinko. Of course this will be coming from someone who lives in the US and has never stepped foot in QLD much less Australia.
  5. No, she was from Medford, MA (just outside Boston) and raised by a single mother who was a bookkeeper (working class family). She later found out her supposedly dead father was alive and well living in Vallejo, CA. She had been arrested for minor stuff like underage drinking but in general a pretty normal, average girl. Many people believe George Hodel the killer as he did somewhat admit to the crime on a police wiretap of his home. Hodel was also suspected in at least two other murders but people believe he was protected by the police as he was a very wealthy doctor who performed abortion services for the wealthy and Hollywood actresses. The guy was without a doubt a serious freak.
  6. Well 200k in 1971 equals about 1.7 million in today's dollars so not too bad a take but I agree. Even by 1971 standards I would think he would have asked for 500k minimum. Seems like it was either more about the thrill or, the money was possibly a distraction for something else entirely. What if he had inside help and there was something more valuable on the plane which was never reported and that was what he was after? IMO the crew acted weird as well. Regardless of what Cooper instructed he seemed very level headed and stayed in communication with the crew until he jumped of course. These were seasoned pilots and crew yet never left the cockpit after it was obvious Cooper jumped at around 8:13pm? I would think once the plane bucked due to his jumping they would have tried calling him on the cabin phone they were communicating with him through. With no response the logical thing would be to go back and check and if no Cooper, raise the damn stairway for obvious safety reasons. They actually landed the silly plane with the staircase down, sparks flying everywhere. Lucky they did not accidentally blow up the plane. It just seems fishy to me the way the crew acted. Then again, never underestimate human incompetence.
  7. I just don't get this. Never a huge KISS fan but I do like several songs and think no one does marketing better than Gene. I would think KISS was made for Vegas, just assumed they of all bands would go over in Vegas better than Celine Dion. I sure as hell would have bought tickets for a Vegas show. KISS & Vegas are like peanut butter & chocolate, Ethel & Lucy, Turner & Hootch. Just don't make no damn sense there was a lack of ticket sales. Who knows, maybe they need to write a couple of Rap tunes or add some silly Cirque du' Soleil nonsense to the act to appeal to contemporary Vegas audiences. Just crazy.
  8. Very true. She came to Hollywood to become a star, but wound up a call girl by all accounts. I do like the conspiracy theory that she acted in underground porno / S&M movies and was killed as a result of something she witnessed. Not saying I believe it but it sure makes for better reading than call girl killed by some psycho John.
  9. I know, where do they get these voice-over actors for many foreign movies? Nickelodeon?
  10. I can handle French, Spanish, and German without subtitles but those Asian languages are super-difficult. Netfix also dubs all their foreign stuff so you can either have the dubbing on, or off with subtitles. I prefer the subtitles as the dubbing, no matter how good typically sounds silly. Especially the women's voices. For some reason they think all Asian women, regardless of age, must sound like a 12 year old school-girl.
  11. Oh yeah, up until the late-80's even the cheap seats got meals served during flights (except for those puddle jumper flights) and smoking was allowed. All part of your ticket price. The big difference between 1st class and coach back then was 1st class had much nicer and larger seating, you had a menu to choose your meal which was much better than what they served in coach, and all drinks (cocktails) were free. Man I miss those days of flying...the golden age, as long as an engine did not fall off during take-off.
  12. My money is still on, impaled on a tree and became buzzard food. Why? Because none of the money has turned up in circulation. Why go through all of that and not spend the money? Guy could have been 'sticking it to the man" which was quite popular in the early-70's but highly doubtful a middle-aged white man would be down with the resistance in 1971. Anything is possible though.
  13. Brad Dourif, another underrated actor who could be creepy as hell in one role (Blue Velvet, Dune, Alien Resurrection) and incredibly endearing and sensitive in another (Deadwood). Dourif & Stockwell were a bit of a team as they appeared in several movies together. Two of my favorite character actors, these guys...the tops!
  14. Well, my #1 guitar, the one I used the most when I used to gig back in the day is my LP Studio (Wine red with cream pickguard and Grover tuners). I simply love this guitar. It plays just beautifully and has almost endless tones with the coil splitting. Extremely versatile guitar and it's super fun to play, not a chore at all. For me, I would take this over a standard or even deluxe any day because it just fits. I guess when it comes down to it guitars are like light sabers, you find one which speaks to you regardless of brand, look, or cost. I consider myself lucky as I bought this axe in BC Canada (Vancouver) back in 2001 for $800 and the retail was $1,500 so I got a deal too. I prefer a heavier string for the tone and sustain so I play .10's instead of the .09's or even .08's which are very popular. Since I have been obsessive about practicing my bends on a practice guitar with .12's on, I can bend the living shit on .10's with no problem. Learned a long time ago to have a practice guitar set up with heavy strings and shitty, high action, that way when you pick up the old gigging axe, playing is simply effortless. Plus I use my practice guitar (a Schechter) for most of my slide work because of the heavy strings and high action. Slide work has always been my biggest challenge, I just cannot do it well on a good guitar with nice, low action. But that Schechter is just perfect for me on slide, sounds great with slide, and cost me $200 back in 2003. I guess it's my Dan Electro type guitar 🙂 Another aside, most players are always "chasing the tone" of their favorite players which is fine but I just never understood why. I can play fairly well but cannot actually create or write my own stuff so it was important I develop my own tone and style. I play the songs how I want to play them, not how Jimmy, Jimi, EVH, or whoever played them. I just prefer to put my own stamp on things as a creative process. Take Jimmy's playing of OTHAFA & NQ on the Strat for the May 18th & 23rd 1975 gigs as an example. I much prefer the Strat on both of those songs to the LP by a country mile. Just my preference.
  15. Yep, I love this stuff, interesting as hell. Another one I am fascinated with is the Black Dahlia case. That one is simply too bizarre.
  16. RIP Dean Stockwell, another great actor gone 😞
  17. The thing about the 21st which somewhat ruins it for me is Page loses all steam by the encores and Heartbreaker is just a middling version. IMO they are hot from start to finish on the 11th & 12th, encores are just phenomenal.
  18. Hey, I just heard Big Bird received his vaccination. Now this is just bullshit, the fact is the COVID vaccine has NOT been approved for avian use. Well, this speaks volumes. Another entitled lib bird jumping to the front of the line. What next, must we address the yellow one as they or them as well???
  19. Next up for me is the 3-12 show which is supposed to be one of the best shows of 75' as they supposedly play even better than on the 11th and Plant's voice is very good for 75'.
  20. Well if he did make it out he either never spent the loot and did it just to do it, or, he spent it over-seas. Many speculate he was Canadian as he asked for "negotiable American currency" which is not a term an American would likely use. Of course I do find it a bit suspicious the two flight attendants still alive absolutely refuse to talk about the case and were never very forthcoming in the first place. I think old DB had inside help.
  21. Not sure about that as I thought they had some very good shows from start to end in 77' such as Cleveland 4-28, Pontiac 4-30, Maryland 5-30, most of the NY & LA runs as well. Then there is the fantastic 7-24-79 show which is just out of sight. I would say 7-24-79 was their last, great show. BTW, been listening to 3-11-75 and once Robert is warmed up he is singing very good and the band is just shit-hot. JP, JPJ, & Bonzo are employing combinations I never heard before and Page & Bonham are really on fire.
  22. Actually, Bonzo had a very good voice with a nice range. His harmonies live on The Ocean & BYAS are fantastic. Page's voice was ok, nothing special but he could hold a note. JPJ though, forget it. Until he got older he had a very nasally, monotone singing voice what was simply, bad. No clue why JPJ sang BOE response. The one show where Bonzo sings response that I recall is one or more of the NY shows in 77' and he does a pretty good job, much better than JPJ by a longshot.
