  1. Strider, you're coming off as passive aggressive in your comment here. Even a bit hostile. Yes, I'm aware of the play. No, I don't use that word once a week and neither does anyone else I know - and we're all well-read and highly intelligent. I highly doubt YOU use it once a week, either - calling BS on that one. It's not a crazy word to know but certainly not used often in conversation. Not sure what to say here other than ... whatever bruh.
  2. ^^ Also adding Sydney 72 (a new fav) and Manchester 12-8-72 (listening to the show today and forgot how much I loved this version)
  3. My thoughts exactly. So many shows from 75 sound lethargic to me, right from the opening numbers . To my ears, they sound a bit more peppy in January and early February, particularly with this show. It just has a great vibe to it. Yes, Page is a little more fluid the next night in Philly, and Robert's in slightly better voice the next night as well, but this show - for the most part - is killer, flows well and is just a lot of fun (not taking anything away from Philly, which was clearly a special night). It has a quality. That's why I keep talking up the video for this show that's up on YT - you can see with your own eyes how into it Page is.
  4. Sadly, you're right. Only Star Trek geeks (and maybe not even them) know what that words mean in 2022. It was an extremely refined and very English insult - very Robert lol. He knew the bootleggers and crowd wouldn't catch the inference, it was probably more of an inside joke for the band. As opposed to: "Jesus, last night was like playing for animals at a zoo that hadn't been fed for a week!" Of course, Plant loved to make each crowd feel special. "Last night at fill-in-the-blank-city was ok, but not the greatest. We're REALLY glad to be back here in fill-in-the-blank-city and that's no bull!"
  5. You're not missing out with Hearbreaker. This is one of my fav shows from 75, but that solo is not his finest hour. 😂 Sounds like he was hitting the Jack backstage. The version I listen to is complete as far as I can tell. It's a 2 source merge from ledzepfilm, up on LZ Boots' channel:
  6. Also Feb 22 is TWOsday .. 2-22-2022 - on a Tuesday, of course. I don't know why, but this makes me happy for some reason.
  7. Don't know if anyone here uses LinkedIn, but some of these profile pics crack me up. Dude is all dressed up at a nice event with his significant other who is moderately (being kind here) attractive and wearing a very provocative dress ... this is his LinkedIn photo!! 😂😂 Just ... why lol
  8. Also - personalized license plates that are just straight up lame or don't even make sense unless you're the driver (apologies to anyone reading who has one lol). It's just ... why. And people who park backwards into spots at parking lots. Newsflash - you're not saving time. The time it takes you to do that is longer than the time it takes to just back out of the spot like a normal person. I see so much of this from all the bay area people who are in Sac now. Classic group-think behavior. They see everyone else do it, they do it too. And they all think they're being SO smart and life-hacking or something. Ga - DAMN I sound salty lol. I AM salty! 😂 😂 😂 My town used to be the last cool place in Cali, RIP Sacramento, you are now a way station for Bay Area trash and Bay Area tech fucks who get to keep the exact same salary they had in the bay but live in a place considerably cheaper and price out all the locals. The tech companies worked out a plan - anyone within a certain mile radius from their company can WFH without taking any kind of salary hit. And that radius exactly extends to the Sac metro area. Coincidence? Hell no! They're subsidizing this entire area and turning it into a bedroom community for Big Tech. Locals are straight-up fucked unless they already own a home.
  9. Oh, man. Well, that's what family is for - to have each others backs. 🙂
  10. The first 4 Roxy albums are so dope, right down to the album covers ...
  11. Great question. If we're talking greatest in terms of influencing music and people in general, I'd go with Beatles and maybe Bowie. Bowie was so damn iconic (this word is hella over-used but for him it actually applies). He was brilliant and basically untouchable from 1970-1983 imho. He influenced so many people and was just an artist in every sense of the word. If we're talking greatest subjectively - purely opinion and personal preference - I'd go with Captain Beefheart and The Fall. Both those bands were proudly (and in the Fall's case purposefully) under the radar but were light years ahead of their time and influenced countless bands over the decades (more punk bands than I can mention, bigger names include Jane's Addiction, Nirvana, Sonic Youth, Pixies, Tom Waits) that has in turn been filtered down over the years to what passes for pop/rock today in 2022.
  12. Well said! No de-railing happening at all. If you want, we can bend the post to say that you believe karma exists lol. I certainly do. The universe can be harsh and cruel, and I think right now is a challenging time for a lot of people everywhere. But I absolutely think karma is a real thing, and even if it wasn't - it's good to be kind. It's its own reward. It's always great to read posts like yours that are straight-up real.
  13. Did you really? 😂 How come?? I feel like there's a story there lol. Well, 10 years is an impressive run. I don't think I've ever had a laptop or PC that long ... but that's the goal! As long as the system is effective and safe from a security perspective, keep that bad boy (or girl if you like) runnin!
  14. Good to hear another voice in the mix! I've said this before on the forum, but I'll say it again because it bears repeating. Whatever show someone likes best and listens to the most - that's the best one! I love the sound quality from the 2-14 boot (Grame remaster) - you feel like you're right there. Clearly, it's a great crowd and everyone is having a great time. And that STH solo is something else. I went back and listened to STH and the encores from the show just now. It's a really fun listen. Someone on the forum once commented that the Baton Rouge 75 show sounds "really Zeppy" which I agree with. I'd say the same thing about the 2-14 show.
  15. I probably should give that one another listen. I've found that sometimes time can change things, as far as listening preferences go. It's weird how that can work. For instance, I always thought 3-27 NQ was just crushingly boring. But recently, it's grown on me. My opinion on Page's playing for that song hasn't changed, but my enjoyment and perspective on the whole thing absolutely has. I got religion on that one lol. So maybe my opinion on DAC from that night will change as well.
  16. You two are making me hungry 😂 😂 Haven't had a good hot dog in years. Adding to this, as a native Floridian who ended up in Cali as youth, it's very rare to find REAL key lime pie out here. They think regular limes will do ... not the same!!! Lucky for me, there's a specialty pie shop near where I live that makes it the right way, just as good as home. Bringing this back to topic, I didn't learn how to make a proper cup of tea til I was well into my 20s. Apparently, the water must be boiling as the tea leaves hit it, to really bring out their flavor. I'm religious about it now haha .. I can taste a difference!
  17. London Fog! That's what they call it. And yeah, I know EG is supposed to be dairy-free, but I grew up drinking it with milk and sugar (shrugs),
  18. Yeah, I've always liked it with a creamer. Milk as a kid, coconut milk now. My mom's originally from England so I grew up with tea and biscuits. Sorry to hear about the Subway travesty! They can actually be pretty good.
  19. My understanding was that both Ross (owner) and Flores wanted Tua. At the time, conventional wisdom was that Tua was the superior choice over Herbert (oh how things change lol). Flores was a mixed bag as a coach. Strong on defense, spotty on offense. He used a lot of fun trick plays both last season and in the one before, probably to compensate for the lack of offensive tools. I don't think he was an inspirational leader for the team as a whole, and he definitely didn't click with Tua. I watched almost every game the past 2 seasons, and he went off on Tua publicly on the sidelines a couple times after some mistakes (Tua was given a strict set of parameters to play with and when he went outside the box with that, he would throw the odd interception 😂). I think the Dolphins' rich, rich history of draft disasters is an ongoing saga but in recent ;years you can absolutely blame Ross. Hardcore Fins fans have been screaming for his head for a while now. The more cynical of the bunch are hoping for a bust of a year next year so that Ross will just sell the team and we can get an owner who knows how to draft or leaves it to his betters. Now, THAT is salty. But I get it. We just wanna be winning again. Like Paul says, the past 20 years have been a shit show. Tua's completion rate is impressive ... against weak teams and averaging 7 yard throws 🤣 You move that number up to 10, bump up the OL, get a coach who is a wizard with running game, and you've got yourself a playoff team. Unless, of course, you lose some key players in the off season which we are 99% likely to do. Dolphins life.
  20. Starbucks makes a drink called a hot tea latte. It's pretty good with either English Breakfast or Earl Grey. Perfect for the foggy weather going on in RWC right now.
  21. People love those LA shows for sure. I really, really wanted to when I first heard those shows as a teenager but just couldn't get into them. This is going back to the 80s. The closest I got was with 3-25-75 which is my fav of the 3 nights. At one point in time, some kind soul put up an AMAZING video of that performance on YT and synched audio to it. I think the run of songs SRTS-RS-Kashmir-NQ from that night is solid, and DAC from that night is solid as well. I'm def with you on San Diego 3-10 even tho Robert is cracking all over the place. Hard to argue with 5-18 as well, that was just an amazing night for them. The whole EC run as a whole could be considered best of the year for sure (with Page at his most fluid on the 17th and 18th and Robert being in best voice on the 24th about 30 minutes in). Start to finish, I really like 5-17, 1-22, 2-7 (warts and all) and 2-8 the best.
