I have to admit Steve, I grinned quite a bit as this does remind me of a post you made a fair while ago...

It's just my dog and pony show.

That is my random thought, so I'll leave it at that.

I have said from time to time "I'm just doing my show", and it's true.

Damn. I started and stopped writing so many different responses to you. That’s a jackass statement to make on a music forum. But congrats on your win.

It's a Random Thought thread within a music forum.

Also, are you married? And are you a father of a girl/woman? If not, you don’t have a horse in the race and it is just flat out wrong to make that statement on this forum. I’m ashamed of you honestly. And while I’m being honest, you are one of my favorite people to read on this forum. Doesn’t matter that we have vastly different opinions. For you to say something like that to get under peoples skin on purpose is just wrong.

The US Constitution applies to all US citizens and as such I do, as you put it, have a horse in the race. I'm ashamed that you, like many others, seem to insist on framing this as a gender and identity politics issue. My intent is not to get under anyone's skin, rather to succinctly express my prevailing random thought to the insipid placards, slogans and social discourse encountered this week.

Hey Steve--gfy, rape apologist. You should be shunned from the community.

That's simply a rebuttal that fails to rebut.

The thing is, yeah, Patton's right:  The Russians are generally not sympathetic, sad to say, that's how it is.  But ultimately, Stalin's Soviet Union is not Putin's Russia, not by a long stretch.  The fact is, they're basically right to be concerned about what goes on in Ukraine, just like the Chinese (similarly unsympathetic) are right be concerned about what goes on in Taiwan.  Neither situation affects what happens in America (or Western Europe, for that matter), so why are we so agitated?  We have other problems to deal with.

Supporting and defending Taiwan is in the US national interest because Taiwan provides 20% of the global semiconductor industry. Ukraine is little more than a globalist slush fund in my opinion.

    You got that right!

“The difficulty in understanding the Russian is that we do not take cognizance of the fact that he is not a European, but an Asiatic, and therefore thinks deviously. We can no more understand a Russian than a Chinaman or a Japanese, and from what I have seen of them, I have no particular desire to understand them, except to ascertain how much lead or iron it takes to kill them. In addition to his other Asiatic characteristics, the Russian has no regard for human life and is an all out son of bitch, barbarian, and chronic drunk.”

Statement by Patton on 8 August 1945, as quoted in “General Patton: A Soldier’s Life” (2002) by Stanley P. Hirshson, p. 650

My name is Giovanni Giorgio. Ok, we get it. We got it 100 posts ago. Does the thought ever occur to anyone that after about three of these those who want to watch more know where to go to get more? No harm, no foul but one more of these and I'm jumping off the building.

He died in the mid 70’s  but the family story goes that he delivered, Jason. Whether true or not I cannot say.

I believe there is a UK website that provides copies of birth and marriage certificates. Unsure if the attending physician is normally listed on the birth certificate at that time.

Yep. I guess we now know what he intended when he said “being seen playing the guitar”...(the now scrapped hologram Led Zeppelin Experience).

Oh, he's been consistently suggesting "a return to the guitar" as far back as 2007...15 years ago!

Does anyone know what the red symbols of Immy Page's shirt represent?

Is it just the shirt's icon or is it some sort of occult symbol?

That photo seems to be 1999-2000. On the '98 tour he wore a shirt two dragons. I always figured he may have gotten both shirts at the same time from the same place. Never saw any occult connection to either shirt, but the front cover of the ZoCrowes album has occult connotations.

There is no 'customer service' anymore. Just customer abandonment.

I've thought about this, and I firmly believe it's because so many small, independently owned and operated businesses have gone the way of the dodo bird.

No need to apologize....and I feel your pain!

The "woke" attitude in the country is the main driving point for me retiring overseas.  When I was in Croatia, there was no BLM bullshit, no alphabet people pissing and moaning about every little thing, all the different religions got along.  Don't get me wrong, their government bureaucracy makes ours look like it's flawless, but from a social point of view, THAT is where I would want to live the rest of my life.

My co-workers know I am dead serious about getting the hell out of here before it collapses any further.

So sorry if my comment got misconstrued.....

Walk and never look back. It was the election of Barry Sotero that sealed the deal for me. I could see then the direction the country was headed.

The projected demographics for the US in 2050 is truly horrifying.

As if Chris Paul could not get any lamer, he was in this new-age mumbo jumbo commercial for something called an oura ring last night during the game. Ha! That is the only ring he is going to get...he ain't getting an NBA championship ring.

This has to be an SNL skit or something. If not, I guarantee you he's wearing clothes on weekends that make him feel pretty.

I guess that is one way of looking at it. Going by mass shootings in the US we have had 248 of them so far in 2022. I imagine that the people who woke up and went to work and took their kids to school that day probably felt the same way. I can’t say that I think much about it for my teenage daughter at school as well. But we certainly have an issue here in the states. Be it with gangbangers, and then the very troubled young adults and adults who walk into schools, bars, clubs, churches, grocery stores and start spraying people with bullets. It does seem to be progressing as well. Growing up in the 1980’s we had drive by shootings, but these mass shootings I don’t remember reading about or watching at the rate we have now. I don’t know what to blame it on. I just know that when people run to their political/tribal corners and start placing blame on the other side it is not helpful or respectful to the people and families that are living through the tragedy. I certainly don’t have the answers, but something has to change. It is heartbreaking, and embarrassing. And as much as the heartbreak and embarrassment it is also so very angering to hear these jackass politicians say “ thoughts and prayers”! I don’t think anyone gives a shit about their thoughts and prayers. And we elect these people. Damn.

Fun fact: 25% of American boys are being raised in fatherless homes, THREE TIMES HIGHER than the 1960s.

While the media hyperventilate their partisan talking points, no one is asking the hard questions:

Where did the punk get the money to buy the weapons?

If the merchant ran a background check it should have tripped three flags yet the weapons were sold to the punk regardless -- why?
