croquet'n'cocaine
> In 1990 some of the world's biggest musicians put on one of the most important gigs of all time. I went to that. It was terrible!! SuperDave
The 1990 lineup was much better. Thanks for this.
ZPN
JC I wish I could go to that! It will be an awesome concert, plus I certainly support music therapy! Maybe they will make it available on DVD later, to add to the charity proceeds.

SteveAJones
> In 1990 some of the world's biggest musicians put on one of the most important gigs of all time. Shameless hyperbole. I can think of 25 more important gigs off the top of my head. Even so, it will be interesting to see Robert return to the 02.
One Symbol
Hmmm...I never normally pass up the chance to see Mr R Plant, but I'm not so sure about this. If a certain guitarist was to guest with Percy, then it might be tempting. The rest of the bill leaves me feeling totally underwhelmed. However, I wonder what format Robert would present? Certainly the Justin Adams-led ensemble her performed with in Birimingham in 2007 & WOMAD recently was interesting. Decisions, decisions..

SuperDave
Robert was scheduled to do a duet with Razorlight singer Johnny Borrell, but he has turned it down as he's afraid he'd be upstaged by Robert. It came out of The Sun. Don't know if this is true, considering The Sun's lack of accuracy and truth in some of their reporting. Can anyone confirm this? http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showb...ny-Borrell.html

Can anyone confirm this? http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showb...ny-Borrell.html Being upstaged is no excuse for not performing, and I think maybe that is just a cover for a lack of courage and fear of the spotlight. If the Razorlight guy has got it together at all, he'll find his spot on the stage and let some of Robert Plant's talent rub off on him. So he should ignore the butterflies, head for the center of the stage, smile and perform. As long as he does that and tries to get most of the songs on key, then he should manage to stand the heat. That and he should remember to leave the audience laughing. There is no point in being so self-absorbed. He should just aim his body for the stage, find his center and say hello to the audience.
