Obscure late 60's and 70's hard rock.

Some local bands....

Bob Seeger and The Last Heard were cool. They released a couple of singles on the Hideout-label. So did The Underdogs with the song Judy Be Mine (later renamed Friday At The Hideout). Have you heard it? Great band too!

Is there any particular album you could recommend?

Their first five are generally considered the best:

Budgie (1971)

Squawk (1972)

Never Turn Your Back On A Friend (1973)

In For The Kill (1974)

Bandolier (1975)

Necromandus

I've already mentioned this band before in this thread, but as this track has recently shown up on youtube, I thought I'd mention them again. :)

Sounds good.

Have been listening to Los Dug Dug's, Días De Blues and Pappo's Blues a lot recently.

Not too obscure, but early UFO often gets a bit forgotten due to their later success with Michael Schenker. The first two albums is pretty cool I think.

I have those two albums. I think they can be considered obscure, although they did have success in Japan and Germany during that era.

Dust

Featuring Marc Bell on drums who would later change his name to Marky Ramone...

This is a track called "Suicide" from their second album "Hard Attack", released in 1972.

Dust was a great band! I don't have their albums, but I have been planning to get a hold of them. I hadn't heard "Suicide" before, thanks for posting! Just for the information, their vocalist/guitarist Richie Wise and their producer Kenny Kerner, produced Kiss debut album. But I suppose you already knew that. ;)

I'd forgotten about that actually, but you jogged my memory. :)

From Australia, Buffalo

A track called "Shylock" from their second album "Volcanic Rock", released in 1973.

Click play and get blown away! :)

Two other albums by them "Dead Forever" and "Only Want You for Your Body" are quite good too.

Blues Creation from Japan.

I've got those. I haven't heard their 4th release, "Mother's Choice" though. I've been told by another fan that it's worth getting, but not in the same league as the previous three.

Don't know if this band is obscure where you're from, but, here it is anyway:

Bloodrock - "D.O.A"

I first heard this song as a teen, on an AM Rock station (they had them back then), in a car, at night.

It was a freaky experience that I have never forgotten to this day.

I love that track.
