It's all about not being boring, the first rule of theatre. That said, her suicidal behaviour should have been a clue to someone to manage her better. Lady Gaga seems to limit her theatre to the proper venues, so her personal life and mental state will remain healthy, I hope, unlike the other one's did; she was not good at setting appropriate boundaries and that cost her bigtime. Reminds me of 42nd Street for some reason; maybe because of the glitzy way it's staged, although the lighting is a bit more sultry and moody, not blazing and bright. She rocks some of the time, but she comes out like a subdued Broadway musical, not as high energy or uptempo as the Rockettes. Wendy O.
