Kiwi_Zep_Fan87
It's interesting Kiwi. I was listening to a cd the other day that my late sister made for me. My only sis. This was the first track on the cd she made for me. She gave me the cd while she was dying. She was 24 when she passed away in a couple years ago. What I just found out recently was that the song happened to be written about losing a sister to a premature death. So sorry to hear about your sister, Andy! She was so young and had her whole life ahead of her! I'm sure that you must think of her, every time you listen to this song! Amy Lee apparently wrote this song for her sister, who died tragically at the age of 3. Such a beautiful, yet tragic piece of music! My emotions run rather high when I listen to it, even though I haven't experienced the pain of losing a sibling!

osoz
Being into 'goth' I should have loads from that genre, but I have two favourite sad songs that predated goth by decades: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPo6v0KhBdw

osoz
Hurt should have made my list too! Love a bit of Johnny Cash and that song - the feeling in it, I know he means every word and is relating the lyrics to his own life experiences. Disco Duck
Alone Again (Naturally) - Gilbert O'Sullivan. Thought one always got to me as well. My personal pick is In the Ghetto by Elvis Presley. Edited February 21, 2015 by Disco Duck
