Geezer Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 (edited) http://led-zeppelin....d-live-gear/226 Does anyone have more photos of this guitar? It was only used on the 1977 tour for OTHAFA. Edited September 24, 2012 by Taro Quote
LedZedTributeUK Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 (edited) Interesting... id not seen the pics from 1970 playing this guitar before.... Edited September 24, 2012 by LedZedTributeUK Quote
Sue Dounim Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 My favorite guitar that Jimmy used! He also would use it to play 'Achilles' Last Stand' whenever he would happen to break a string. Off the top of my head, those particular dates were 5/19/77, 6/11/77, and 6/22/77. He also would use it during 'Whole Lotta Love' in 1973. Quote
Xavi Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 You can see the deluxe in O2 Arena. No idea about the son is he playing. Quote
dazedjeffy Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 You can see the deluxe in O2 Arena. No idea about the son is he playing. This is not the same guitar as mentioned above. This is "Number 3", which was seen in 1970, 1973 (in TSRTS movie), solo years, etc. Also, the song that they are playing in this picture is Kashmir. Quote

jb126 Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Perhaps this question belongs elsewhere, but Re: Picture 6 in Taro's post #7. The dancing woman. I have never seen this picture before. I have seen a picture of RP (facing camera) and the back of a woman dancing on stage. Was this part of the show that day or did someone jump up there or ? Quote
joey1985 Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Taro, the last picture in your second post is a different guitar Quote

I don't know the whole story but the woman came out during No Quarter at both Oakland 1977 shows and I think she came out during Stairway to Heaven to. Quote
magerogue Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Does anybody have a picture of Jimmy with this guitar from 1970? I thought he bought this guitar when it came out in 1973... Quote

Thanks. Maybe I'll ask about it in the Mysteries thread. From things I've learned about Zeppelin, it seems out of character. Quote
joey1985 Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Here is a picture of the Norlin and what is probably the mystery 77 guitar sitting right beside it. Quote
joey1985 Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Also, the mystery 77 guitar is not a Deluxe like the title of this topic says, it is clearly a 50's guitar making it impossible to be a deluxe. Quote
sixpense Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 This red guitar is a Les Paul Gold top resprayed (repainted) red. A Les Paul Deluxe has mini-humbuckers. Pete Townsend used this guitar during the 70s. http://www.thewho.net/whotabs/gear/guitar/lpdeluxe.html Quote
