Geezer
Is there any live No Quarter solo that holds its own with the one from 28.07.73 (old TSRTS)?
fishhead
Is there any live No Quarter solo that holds its own with the one from 28.07.73 (old TSRTS)? Geezer, i think, if you are referring to the guitar solo (not JPJ's piano/organ?) then IMHO, I think that TSRTS guitar solo is unbelievably good. I have heard a couple of other boots (definitely not all of of them) over the years and even those, with the latest O2 don't come close.

Nutrocker
Is there any live No Quarter solo that holds its own with the one from 28.07.73 (old TSRTS)? I don't think any Jimmy Page solo -in "No Quarter" or otherwise- comes close to the sheer majesty of the 28/7/73 NQ, but I reckon 28/2/75 (Baton Rouge), 21/3/75 (Seattle), 11/6/77 (New York), and 22/6/77 (L.A.) all give The Song Remains The Same version a run for its money. SweetLittleBaby
The TSRTS version will always be my favorite, but the 5/24/75 version is a very close second. The version(s) of No Quarter during the Walking Into Clarksdale tour were also great and of course the one from Celebration Day is fantastic. adilzoso3
I think no quarter solo from TSRTS is good, very good actually. but not as good as they did in LA 21 june 1977, the mighty mike millard record "listen to this eddie".
Mattmc1973
I really like the New York '75 renditions from 2/12/75 and 2/14/75, respectively.
Laurence Santos
On my opinion, several versions of 1977, either Atlanta 4/23, Landover 5/25, New York 6/13 and 14, Los Angeles 6/26 are candidates.

Gotta add 11/6/77 to that list, IMO that version is just about perfect, at least for 1977...
