LedZeppfan77
Well he struck out Soriano so now I just need these bush leaguer's to score. That may take a miracle. they cant score on anyone.
paul carruthers
As I was saying, Harvey seems to have settled down nicely after that 1st inning. Now the question is, as it always seems to be is will the Mets offense pick him up. I'm sure Rick and his betting slip is hoping so.
LedZeppfan77
Maybe they will pull my feet from the flames? Two HRS Nice. so far
paul carruthers
I don't know, I got a funny feeling this could end up being another no decision for Harvey. I hope I'm wrong....

paul carruthers
Matt Harvey helping his own cause, base hit to score a run. Edited May 17, 2013 by paul carruthers
paul carruthers
Well, Harvey's pitching a beauty, again. I would feel better about it if the Mets had some more runs, that bullpen with a 1 run lead doesn't inspire confidence in me.
paul carruthers
Awww shit, the Mets are going to the pen with the tying run in scoring position, this might not be pretty.
paul carruthers
He did it! Parnell comes in & locks down the game. Matt Harvey 5-0!!!! How does your wager work out Rick?

paul carruthers
What a throw by Marlon Byrd from right field to nail that runner at home plate. My heart was in my chest thinking Parnell was going to blow another one, but the guy came through in the clutch.
paul carruthers
I guess the O's can expect no help from the Jays, the Yankees own those fools. The Sox are back in second place and the Orioles have Jair Jurrjens pitching for them today. Is Jurrjens another attempt at filling that 5th starters role ala Freddy Garcia? Who would have known? Jimmy Johnson has not even able find the strike zone. O's starters seem to be in disarray with Garcia and Chen on DL but in reality it is bull pen that is reeling. Three in all with new guys coming in that had failed carreers and the belief Buck could get them going again. Well, we crashed and burned on that end. Thus a 4 game skid. Time to end it today with Tillman and get back on track. Gonzalez and Chen will return. But they need Bundy or a new pickup to fill the fourth spot. Soon. paul carruthers
Pitchers continue to get big hits in this Mets/Cubs series as Dillion Gee serves up a 2-run homer to the opposing pitcher of all things. Baltimore losing again, what goes on? King Felix got touched up today by the tribe.

paul carruthers
Mets win 2 out of 3, I would be happy but I have to remember it was against the Cubs. Now we go home to Citi Field to probably get spanked by the Reds. Harvey pitching Wednesday vs. Matt Latos, should be a good one.
paul carruthers
Yanks at O's tomorrow, the fatman C.C. Sabathia going for the Yanks against Garcia, seems like a mismatch on paper, but they don't play the games on paper.

And get Bundy ready and do something to fix the rotation and fast. The are going to need to make some moves and get better guys than Garcia
Bong-Man
Miguel Cabrera, unreal! Yep.....Even during a losing effort the dude is worth the price of admission just by himself. The entire stadium gasped and the pitcher flinched in fear when he hit that shot to centerfield. It sounded like a rocket mortar. Two months into the season and he's hitting over .500 with runners in scoring position. Good series with Texas. They exposed our bullpen. Garcia (baby Cabrera) is trade bait for July. Still their best? Fucking Garcia. How many more balls do we have to watch go into the cheap seats Buck before we admit we fucked up? Or is he going to shock us and pitch a good game? paul carruthers
While Sabathia may not have the velocity he had 3 or 4 years ago, dude knows how to pitch & locate his pitches for the most part. A crafty lefty to be sure, although the Birds always play the Yankees tough, so we'll see how tonight goes. My question might be if the Orioles have a lead late in the game, do they bring Johnson in for the save?
