ledrim Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 We all know how extensive the Zeppelin song catalog is. Let's make an alternative set list and see what kind of show that would have been. The goal is to match each song with another song that is similar in style and spirit. Good Times Bad Times - Communication Breakdown Ramble On - Over The Hills and Far Away Black Dog - Out on the Tiles In My Time of Dying - I Can't Quit You Baby For Your Life - Hot's on For Nowhere Trampled Underfoot - Custard Pie - Couldn't think of another one Nobody's Fault but Mine - When the Levee Breaks No Quarter - In the Light Dazed & Confused - How Many More Times Stairway To Heaven - Rain Song or Ten Years Gone Song Remains The Same - Achilles last Stand Misty Mountain Hop - Dancing Days Kashmir - If I didn't use Achilles, I would put it here, but I'll go with either In The Evening or Carasolambra. Whole Lotta Love - Heartbreaker because they both have iconic riffs. Rock & Roll - The Ocean Well that would make for two amazing shows. Some of the songs are very natural fits others I had to strain to find a good match. Le's see what you people think and what songs you come up with. Quote
zosodude13 Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 I like the idea... but I dont see ANY set list without dazed and confused, stariway to heaven, rock and roll, black dog and such classics... perhaps stuff like misty mountain hop and ramble on could be interchangable... but beyond that, that would probably be nearly exact to what future concert set lists would be Quote
Olipticle Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 I dunno i like the idea but i would still like to see them play alot more houses of the holy and in through the out door, Songs like fool in the rain, In the evening and The ocean. ( which i see you have in that set.) Quote

kirchzep27 Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 I love the setlist and most importantly the performance of the o2 show... but would like to have seen a surprise like -the rover, in the light, or a stunner...when the levee breaks. But...good times bad times and for your life were the songs to blend into the setlist the best. Quote
