It's the position of his head relative to his body; it looks unnatural. I've seen photos of John Paul Jones playing bass while wearing the outfit he has on in the middle photo. In this photo his clothing and hair provide quite a contrast to that of his band mates. He looks like he should be a in a pop group in that outfit. It's a nice outfit and JPJ looks handsome; it just doesn't say "kick ass rock bassist" Quote Link to post Share on other sites
