  1. Hold on there...I'm 100% guy and I love the Plantations, too. I want the whole kit and caboodle...no edits, please.
  2. Hi Virginia, I don't really clog my phone with a lot of apps(I use an Android phone, too). I have a Wolfgang's Vault (great for listening to lots of great concerts while commuting) and a YouTube and an ESPN scoreboard app. I also have a couple puzzle apps for word games and Sudoku puzzles, and a LACMA and Hammer Museum app. That's it.
  3. Ahhh, I see. As Wooderson says in "Dazed and Confused", LOVE them redheads! In a word, no.
  4. Of course...but who's the cutie on the left? They did theatrical screenings of the 2003 DVD and 2007 TSRTS remaster, so I'm hoping for theatrical showings for the O2 as well.
  5. My niece didn't forget. Her class made friendship bracelets in honour of 9/11 and she just presented me this beautiful red, white & blue number when she got home from school.
  6. Just listened to this exact boot recently and yes, it ranks as one of the best ALS for me...along with '80 Zurich, 7-24-79 Copenhagen, 8-4-79 Knebworth, the entire '77 LA Forum run, '77 Pontiac, 5-18-77 Birmingham.
  7. Hmmmph! Mine must have got lost in the mail.
  8. ^^^ RH, you are aware that the British lost many lives on that day, too? So I don't think it's fair to assume a Brit would necessarily have something negative to say about 9/11. I'm not even sure I know who you're referring to: Beetleron? Big Dan? Joe Liverpoole? Major Major? Knebby? Okay, I'm fairly sure you don't mean Knebby. Anyway, it was very thoughtful of LZG to remember and create her thread. If I gave the impression otherwise, I am sorry.
  9. Zemun, the top one is familiar to me but not the middle actor...I'll have to investigate. Of course, the bottom one is LEGEND! Or at least, Daniel Auteuil should be. The 'Robert De Niro' of France.
  10. Everyone sing along: "One of these things is not like the other...one of these things doesn't belong"
  11. First off: You LUCKY bastard! Those are memories that'll last a lifetime...those are real. Good for you doing all that work and I hope you do make it on the DVD. Secondly, did you sleep during the opening acts so as to be energized for the main event?
  12. ^^^ Exactly magerogue...a nation of Zep heads weeps! Whether in mourning or relief I'll leave that up to each person's discretion.
  13. The photo didn't seem that huge to me, FO...but then I'm looking at it on my phone. I'll have to tell my vegan pals about the new Oreos then. The only Oreos that I eat are the classic black/white and the Fudge covered ones. And no 'double stuff'...it ruins the cookie to cream ratio.
  14. That's not exactly a fair assumption. For one thing, there have already been multiple threads dealing with 9/11 here and it may be that a lot of people are 'talked out' on the subject. They've said what they needed to say and don't feel like reliving it. Secondly, for many people(myself included), 9/11 is still something that we're not comfortable sharing in public...some feelings are a private matter and not up for public consumption. So don't judge the lack of response here as meaning anything.
  15. Or maybe she just loves "Revolutionary Road"? She's young so she probably hasn't seen many movies yet. Poor Faye Dunaway...all those great roles in "Bonnie & Clyde", "Network", "Chinatown" and "The Thomas Crown Affair", and she's only remembered by kids today for "Mommie Dearest".
  16. ^^^ Eeeuuuwww...that's gross! When is Oreo going to learn? YOU DON'T MESS WITH A CLASSIC!!! Just ask Coca-Cola.
  17. So it's not going to be Tempe '77?
  18. ^^^ Well at least that will give everyone time to watch it before the Mayan Death Date.
  19. Congrats to jb126 for winning Week 1 with 11 victories. Week Two Thurs. Sept. 13 Chicago @ Green Bay Sun. Sept. 16 Kansas City @ Buffalo Cleveland @ Cincinnati Minnesota @ Indianapolis New Orleans @ Carolina Houston @ Jacksonville Oakland @ Miami Arizona @ New England Tampa Bay @ NY Giants Baltimore @ Philadelphia Washington @ St. Louis Dallas @ Seattle NY Jets @ Pittsburgh Tennessee @ San Diego Detroit @ San Francisco Mon. Sept. 17 Denver @ Atlanta
  20. ^^^ What a great and intriguing story, sabelstorm. I reckon many kids of the post-punk generations discover Led Zeppelin in a similar roundabout fashion. Better late than never.
  21. If you're trying to suggest that the Angels couldn't hang in the AL East, let me clue you in buddy. The Angels are the only team...that's right, ONLY...with a winning record versus the Yankees from 1996 to now. Oh, and we're 7-2 against Baltimore this year, so I think the Angels would manage fine in the East.
  22. An offseason of hope snuffed out in 60 minutes. Just when I thought it was a new era in Raider Nation...same old Raiders. Same old penalties, same old inexplicable play-calling, same old lack of focus. If Ford and Moore don't get back soon, we don't have a chance. And I've never seen such awful long-snapping in my life. P.S. Rick...no couch chewing for me. While the girls did their homework, me and my brother went to watch the games(Raiders and Angels) at a local pub.
